My favorite place!!

I love staying at The Roost. It’s so peaceful and quiet. The cabin is very charming, super clean and they have the best soaps and shampoos. It’s just a short drive to Main Street. The evenings you can sit in the enclosed porch and enjoy the outdoors without the bugs and the mornings enjoy the delicious homemade breakfast. Mom and I always stay here when we come to Fredericksburg.

The Roost is perfection!

The Roost was wonderful! Well appointed, comfortable beds and eating Jason’s delicious breakfast while rocking on the front porch while the chickens roamed was the cherry on top! Jason was so kind, ensured we had everything we needed and recommended the best dinner spots! If you’re headed to Fredericksburg stay at the Cabins out Back.

Absolutely amazing experience and time. Homemade breakfast every morning, a quiet oasis with green grass and wildlife right outside the window. 10 minutes from Main Street so it’s far enough where it’s quiet but close enough to get anywhere. Extremely communicative, clean and just an overall perfect experience. We have already told multiple people about this spot. We love getting out of the city and down to Fredericksburg and will be back!

Peaceful and relaxing

If you are looking for a place to stay when going to Fredericksburg but want to be away from the noise of lots of people in a small town, then this is your place! A peaceful country vibe with only a short drive into town. Everything is as advertised and pictured. Breakfast was AMAZING!!! I would definitely stay here again!

Definitely Recommend

We came for a girls weekend. The roost is very cute and cozy. Breakfast was amazing. Jason was easy to get ahold of and quick to respond. And oh man the stars, so beautiful and the mornings were very peaceful. Close enough to town to enjoy the nightlife, but far enough to enjoy the peacefulness of the country. 10 out of 10 woukd Definitely recommend!

If you want a cozy little place to stay out in the country, then Cabins Out Back and The Roost is the place for you. Jason does a fabulous job of taking care of his guest, great accommodations and delicious breakfast. Definitely will stay there again.

Amazing getaway!

Unwind in nature

Start the day with a delicious homemade breakfast and watch all the deer in a very relaxing atmosphere or go into town and visit one of the many restaurants or shops. It's a great place!

This gorgeous place is rated exceptional for a good reason - it is exceptional in any way. Quiet and secluded, yet just a short drive from historic town Fredericksburg. In the morning we were greeted by friendly chickens, in the evening we watched deer munching on the lushes grass. The cute, cozy cabin had all you needed. A super comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen and the options for dining inside or under the gazebo. Old-fashioned rocking chairs invited to relax on the porch while stargazing. Highlight of the day was the awesome, home cooked breakfast, brought up directly to the cabin. Jason is the most perfect host. Great communication, very helpful and friendly. We also had the pleasure to meet his super nice parents. This is a very special place and we had a memorable week.

Very relaxing!

We loved this property and we hope to visit again. The breakfast was delicious, the accommodations were lovely, and we enjoyed sitting outside and watching deer on and next to the property.

Hill Country Heaven!

Perfect getaway weekend. Cabins are cozy and so functional- stocked with everything we needed and situated with beautiful views. Breakfast was ABOVE AND BEYOND our expectations- delicious and filling for our full Fredericksburg days. A perfect stay!!

Another great trip from the Cabins Out Back!

This was my second visit, and I loved it just as much. It’s nice getting away from Main Street and being able to sit on a quiet patio at night to lure one of the friendly kitties over for pets.

The Perfect Escape

This city family needed a vacation. The Cabins Out Back was the perfect answer! From our boys collecting eggs that got served to us in spectacular breakfasts to the evening porch cocktails, we settled right into country living. The location put us right in between town and the best wineries and other activities (like canoodling with elephants). AND, Jason was beyond charming and responsive. We are making plans to return! To date, one of our best ever family vacations and one we still talk about.

Amazing Piece of Heaven

Super cute cabins! Screened in back porch or open front porch. The bed was so comfy! Quiet and peaceful...a little piece of Heaven! The breakfast was amazing! Jason is a great chef and so hospitable! Every night we talked about what breakfast might be! Fresh eggs from the chickens! Fresh fruit amd fresh sqeezed orange juice! We loved watching the chickens! Absolutely amazing! We will be back and will recommend!

Beautiful place

We enjoyed staying at The Roost. It was so quiet and peaceful! Watching the chickens and deer each day was a bonus! Breakfast was delivered in the morning and it was AMAZING! We will definitely stay here again. 😊

Relaxing stay
