Great location, lovely house

Extended weekend stay with family, Friday-Tuesday, was made extra special by this lovely property. Great views and very comfortable house, stocked thoughtfully for guests! Had a wonderful stay; highly recommend!

Best of Pirates Beach

I have rented numerous homes in Pirates Beach neighborhood over the years. Several beach fronts. This was the most nicely furnished and most well maintained of all. Thoroughly enjoyed this property and hope it is available for my next visit to Galveston.

Great Property and Location to the Beach

Property is just as advertised and the property management was very responsive. Plenty of space for the whole family and the proximity to the beach couldn’t get any better!

The house beautifully set up, with all of the cooking amenities we needed. Such close proximity to the beach made it great for our family with young kids to go back and forth to the house if needed!

A great framily getaway

This house was perfect for a short vacation with friends. So close to the beach, with an amazing view. The kids loved the bunk room, and they spent hours building puzzles. We will definitely be back.

Perfect location, wonderful house!

We enjoyed a wonderful Memorial Day weekend stay at this house! Just the right size for 2 families. House is nicely appointed and well taken care of. Just the right distance to the beach - not even a minute walk. Great views from every room in the house. Good communication with hosts as well. Thank you!

We have vacationed in Galveston 5 times now and this was our first experience renting a house and on this end of the island! We will stay in this location for all future visits and would love to rent this location again and again. The size of the home was perfect, kitchen was the best stocked as we have ever experienced,.

Great Family Weekend

The location was perfect with the ability to just walk right to the beach. The house was the perfect size for a family of seven and it looked just like the pictures. The whole vibe of the house was peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely choose this same house again!

2022 Family Relaxation Vacation

We were very impressed with the property. It was just like the pictures on feature VRBO. The house was very lovely; it was all that we expected and more. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we have decided it will be our go to vacation home for Galveston, Texas. Hearing the sound of the ocean at night and watching the sunset was breathe taking.

Perfect space/Great location

This is our second visit to Casa De Mar. We love the house. It has everything we need, plenty of space and you can't beat the location. We are seconds away from the beach. I am able to head up from the beach to prepare meals and see the kids playing on the beach from the house. We definitely will be back.

Amazing house!

This house was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! It was so clean and exactly like the pictures. The neighborhood was clean, quiet and so inviting. Our girls 15 and 12 got up every morning and walked the beach for shells and swam all day. The location couldn’t be any more perfect. Checking in and out was super easy! We will definitely be back!!

Casa De Mar

We travel alot and VRBO 90% of the time and this was in the top 5 vacation rentals we have stayed in. Clean, accessible, and very quiet. easy access to the beach was welcomed by my elderly parents. Most of the rentals do have a small collection of simple board games for kids and adults, scrabble, monopoly, trivia. etc. This home did not, adding this simple feature would be an easy addition to a great rental.

Great House!

Location is fantastic. In a beautiful neighborhood, literal steps to the beach. Very clean, etc. Everything in working order. We had booked five nights, but unfortunately, a tropical storm came in and we were only able to stay two nights. It was unfortunate because we could not get our money back. They only issue refunds if the island is under mandatory evacuation, which it was not. This area is lower lying so it’s at an increased risk for flooding and we did not feel safe staying and getting stuck. You could not go outside without sand blasting you in the face. It was unsafe to be outdoors so we felt we had no other choice to leave. Other than that, I was very happy with the property itself and the communication with the property managers. That does make a big difference with vacation rentals!

Perfect for our annual group get away

We are a group of 6 women in our 70's who get away, mostly to Galveston, every year. We have stayed at many places and this house was at the top of our favorites. As advertised, the views from every room are stunning, there are multiple decks, and because of the way the house is situated, we could always find a comfortable deck to be with shade and shelter from the wind. The house is beautifully decorated and there are ample dishes, cookware, utensils, and serving dishes for a crowd. It was not too much of a problem for us as we are all fairly active for our age, but any one with problems climbing stairs should be aware that all the bedrooms except for the master are on the third floor, which means 4 flights up, and there is only one bathroom for the 4 bedrooms on that floor. We did manage this, and for us all the advantages outweighed this one inconvenience, and we hope to rent Casa del Mar again next year.

Great home, and fantastic rental agency

We've done a few Galveston rentals, including a couple in the Pirates Beach neighborhood. This was, by far, our best - to the point where we will probably lean towards just re-booking this home next time. Great kitchen amenities, great views of the ocean from many of the rooms, clean - just NOTHING to complain about. There was an issue on the first night where the 2nd floor a/c wasn't working. I called Gary Greene agency and someone picked up immediately. They had someone out there within about an hour. It couldn't be fixed that night, so they gave us several options for other homes where we could stay. We chose to stay there (it wasn't that hot this time of year). it took several visits to get the a/c working the next day - but the whole time, GG Agency was communicative, ready to offer up whatever would mitigate the problem - they were AWESOME. And, in the end, they gave me a bit of money off (I didn't even need to ask). They come HIGHLY recommended.
