Wonderful Family Time
We all loved the remoteness of this property. It sits right on the water but has two large side yards so no close neighbors. Everyone loved all the kayaks, row boat and paddle boat. The view of the lake is very inviting. Day trips into Marquette were about a 30 minute drive. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen as most meals were cooked at home. We even made blueberry muffins with the wild blueberries we picked off of Hwy 553. The only drawback were the flies and mosquitoes but you quickly learn which time of the day is best for being outside. It really didn't deter our activities. We had bug spray. Overall, this was a delightful stay!

Another Nice Stay at 660 Mackinac Lane
As the first time we stayed here, the property was in excellent shape and readiness. The house and grounds were clean and all good to go. There were 4 in our group and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed the kitchen/dining area for eating and the living room was very pleasant for evening TV watching. We also enjoyed several good games in the pool room.

Perfect week away
We had an amazing week! The house was beautiful and lots of good fishing on the lake. We caught perch, large mouth, crappie, and northern pike. The house was fully stocked and had everything that you needed being away from home. The house was comfortable and clean. The hosts were wonderful and easy to coordinate with. We had plenty of space and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful week together. Thank you for sharing your place with our family! We made lots of great memories and hope to be back again!

Family Time
We are a family of ten. There was plenty of space to relax. Neighbors were quiet for the most part. It’s a beautiful view of the lake and the use of the kayaks was a perk! My husband and sons went bird hunting not to far away, while the rest of us took a drive to Munising. The Escanaba River is close by and is breathtaking. P.S. The locals Shell Gas station has friendly employees, and tasty pasties!!

Wonderful!
The house was clean and comfortable. We brought 2 kayaks and used the kayaks provided, also. We spent time on the lake every day. The fishing members had a good time locating the fish. We had a few campfires and used the grill a lot! We have kids going to NMU and they were able to join us a couple of times. The fall colors were just starting and they were beautiful. We are glad to have been able to spend a week here. Would highly recommend.

Upper Peninsula Adventure
The property was as expected--delightful! Just what I needed for my upper peninsula, unplugged adventure. The home is literally steps away from the lake. The lake is clear and the quiet. Many homes on the lake but it was extremely quiet. Our college age sons and their friends enjoyed fishing the lake and caught many blue gill and sunfish. The fishing boat was a fun throw back, the kayaks in great shape and plentiful and even a paddle boat. The pool table and basketball court were also welcome activities for the guys! We were delighted to spot 3 moose drinking from the waters edge one evening around 5:30pm. Our eldest son, an environmental science major, was thrilled with the property and all he discovered. The WIFI was more than adequate as the guys had online class during the week. Had a fantastic carryout dinner from the Up North Lodge in Gwinn on our last night. We enjoyed some of the activities in Marquette as well: climbed Sugarloaf Mountain and discovered Dead River Falls. Topped it off with ice cream from Jilbert Dairy--delicious! It would have been nice to have the dock installed before our visit. Also, a screen on the sliding glass door to the dining room/kitchen would be something to consider so guests can enjoy the breezes off the lake. The upstairs bedroom get a bit warm once the temperatures heat up but there are plenty of fans to keep the air moving. A very nice vacation was had by all!

Beautiful lake getaway
We absolutely loved staying at the Musgrove’s cabin. It’s in a beautiful setting on a peaceful lake. At night, you get spectacular views of the stars. While staying, we had some issues with hot water, which we found out was due to an issue completely beyond John’s control, yet he did everything he could to get a service person out, and when he couldn’t, he refunded me some money. Stay with confidence!

This is a vacation home where memories are made. The house is extremely well equipped. The views are fantastic. Owners are wonderful to work with. The house itself is an open concept where either a large or small group is comfortable. You are just steps from the Lake, the firepit is great for telling stories. This place is wonderful

Beautiful stay
The house was beautiful, clean, and in a great location, almost everything as described in the website. The only disappointment was there was a sing on the fireplace that asked us not to use it, the fireplace was one of the selling points. However we have already recommend the property to several friends, and looking to see if we can make it back next year.

Steps from the lake
This home provided more than we're used to from other rentals. We brought our food and our clothes and we were set for a long weekend. The property isn't too remote, but it feels like it once you're there. The home was clean and spacious. The teenagers enjoyed all the bedroom space upstairs as well as the pool table. The lake is amazing...literally just steps from the door. Having access to the kayaks was a huge selling point for us and we definitely took advantage of them.

Extremely accommodating
This house was more than expected. It was stocked with everything you could possibly need. There was plenty of room for everyone and definitely plenty for everyone to do. The lake is perfect for the little ones. We were able to teach our 7 year old how to operate a kayak without worrying about the water being too deep. I could write a book about how much fun we had while there. Just a great experience and great place to take the family. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful lake property!

We had a wonderful time. There were plenty of games to pick from on the cool days, and a great bonfire pit. The rooms were comfortable and cozy, and the kitchen was well equipped with every utensil we would need. And the view of the lake was fantastic. Excellent accomidations! Also, the quad trails, and the Escanaba River for canoeing, were wonderful additions.

Nice quiet get away
We had a great time relaxing for the week at the Gwinn lake house. Our entire family took advantage of the kayak’s, basketball hoop, corn hole and pool table. Lots of fun family time together in a very clean home. We liked that the home was also close to Marquette where we had a blast jumping off Black Rock, hiking Sugarloaf and checking out the quaint downtown area. Also took the short drive into Munising to hike and check out Pictured Rocks. Overall a great northern Michigan vacation and this home was just perfect for all of it!

wonderful lake get away in the upper pennisula
My family and I stayed at the property for a week in August. We had a fantastic time. The location is convenient with easy access and close to places that you need but it makes you feel that you are out in the wilderness. The view of the lake was beautiful and the lot was big enough to have our extended family in the area out for a visit and to play some yard games. The house was comfortable and had all the amenities needed for our stay. Thank you for sharing. Tammy and Matt
