“Nicole and Malcolm make Craigmount so special. Book themed bedrooms to reflect Wigtown, and a lovely sitting room to read or eatch TV. Our double bedded room with ensuite overlooked the garden. The room was quite compact, and made more so by our largish suitcases. If you have big bags, perhaps book a family room. All the rooms are accessible via stairs. The pre-ordered breakfast was freshly cooked and wonderful. Dinner options in town or nearby were limited, except to drive, especially mid-week....

“Really good value - everything that a small family needs for a break including a dishwasher! Lots of character with excellent views of the harbour and castle from the living room and bedroom on the second floor.Perfect for shops, cafes and galleries. Easy parking and a very pleasant neighbourhood to walk around day or night. Really appreciated the refreshments left for us by the host in the fridge on arrival. Would definitely return.”

“Excellent all round! Cottage and location - tucked into the peaceful countryside. Contemporary decor but still a cosy and welcoming space with lovely views of green hills. We had everything we needed and Charles couldn’t have been more helpful! We even saw the promised deer and little resident vole!”
