“We had last been to Hana in 2003, and were looking forward to our three night stay. This place was an excellent choice for us. We sat on the deck each morning and evening. The view over the tree canopy is beautiful. Waking up to the bird songs is wonderful way to start the day. You can hear the ocean just over the trees. The bed is comfortable. “Staying at JJ's Hana Hale was a highlight of our trip to Maui. We decided to do a weekend on the Hana Road, and instead of driving back to our resort on the other side of the island, we stayed with the Jahns' Saturday night. “Our second stay in this house (top floor only).Easy booking, clear instructions, has as described. Great location for our stay in Hana. Helpful host!We were familiar with the house and it is as advertised. The only issue was two of the fans don't work as they should (one moves little to no air now as compared to our last stay) and the other started making very loud noises during the night and woke 2 of us up. “We loved the property, the location was close enough to the town of Hanna, and Paia but still as peaceful and calm as it gets. The home was updated inside and very clean, we loved the evening breeze and the large eaves on the roof that allowed the windows to stay open even during the evening rain showers. “Just wonderful. Bananas and star fruit growing in the yard, amongst dozens of different flowers. You do have to share the premises with cows and geckos….fine by us! Big, open rooms, very old-beach style. Wonderful ocean views, particularly from the upstairs bedroom. A great visit.”
