We enjoyed playing games in the quiet cottage, sitting around the firepit in the evening, and walking in the meadows. Our hosts were very thoughtful and easy to contact--they made us feel special, from the personalized welcome note to the fresh flowers and homemade cookies waiting in the kitchen.”

“The area is beautiful. Couldn’t get the heater to work properly. So it was a bit chilly. My husband did want to watch a little t.v. but the sound kept messing up. The screen door was broken and my husband was very concerned about the tape around all the outlets. He didn’t feel it was safe so we didn’t stay a second night. However, if you can get passed all that, it has a nice deck, the lake is just a few feet away and it’s just very pretty and peaceful.”

“Not a bad little place. It’s lakeside but built further back from the water than the two houses on either side so you don’t get a fully unobstructed view of the water. Still nice enough view though and the included citronella candles came in real handy for the bugs. Communication back and forth with the owner a little bit slow but didn’t cause any major hiccups. “Let me first say that the house was adorable, clean and had comfy beds. The deck has 2 locking gates for kids or privacy and was spacious. I worked outside on my laptop 2 days and enjoyed the lake and gentle breeze. It was nice to have real toilet paper and full size toiletries (I brought my own but it was a nice touch). Now….. “Everything was as described in the listing: two bedrooms, one bath, very spacious living space and spotless! Everything we needed in the kitchen was there. Location was close enough to many things but not too close. The neighborhood was quiet. Easy check in and check out! The hosts are great, even making a safety call to notify us of a tornado warning and inviting us to use their basement, if desired. We highly recommend staying in this cottage! Perfect for two couples!”
