"After an extended stay in Kentucky, I’ve stayed at a few hotels in the area and I have to say this location is the best! First, I congratulate the staff on the pride they take in making this location the best it can be. From the front desk, housekeeping to maintenance, they all do whatever is necessary for your comfort. Being away from home is difficult but feeling safe where you lay your head down is priceless. "

"Black Bear Lodge is a very no-frills, rustic motel, with the room doors opening to the outside on a walkway or balconey. The bed was Very comfortable and the shower was great. That was my primary need, so i was pleased. The check in is down the road at a coffee shop and they have limited check in hours, or you have to make special arrangements.
