Convenient for weekend
Stayed in mid-September for Tunnel Race Marathon which was coinvent for the finish area. Even though rooms are on lower (basement) level, it was warm and fan was not enough with European type bedding. Previous reviews had mentioned no air-conditioning. We were able to get an extra sheet instead of the duvet on the second night. Communication was good once established.

Stayed here for our wedding weekend. Hosts were very welcoming, and the place is really cool, lots of space and nice and quiet in the mountains. Our wedding was twin peaks themed, and it was nice to see so many North Bend and Twin Peaks decorations too!

Cute retreat in the woods
Overall the property was really nice. It was close to North Bend but far enough away that you really felt that it was a "getaway". We enjoyed spending some evenings on the patio after we'd explored the surrounding areas during the day. However, we did find some things that were less than ideal. Right when we walked in we were hit with a strong smell of dog and the bathroom itself smelled weird the entire time. I have no idea what it was but it didn't go away with multiple flushes to the toilet, so it wasn't that. Luckily it wasn't too hot during our stay because it didn't have AC, just a tower fan in the bedroom despite the property itself having a large Trane HVAC system that was running right outside the bedroom window. It would have been really uncomfortable if it had been any hotter. I'm sure the heated floors are nice in the winter though. The owners mention that if the water hasn't been run in a few days to let it run 5-10 minutes to heat up, we ran the shower for well over a half hour and still took less than luke warm showers. Finally on our last day we had hot water in the shower. We really liked the set up of the place but definitely found it to be a little less than what we were expecting based on pictures and reviews.

Island in the Clouds
Secluded, large walkout basement property offering a panorama view of the forest. It was fun place for us and our grandkids that lived nearby. Large screen (10' x 6') projector television was mildly complicated, but was very enjoyable. Everone loved the ping pong table.

Was what was represented. reviews were accurate
Took while for host to communicate (1 wk prior) but once they did, they answered all questions. A walkout basement. Appears unfinished, floors cement, finishing incomplete. However, comfortable. Heated floors. We heard upstairs movement, laughed when dog raced across entire floor. I say we laughed, because we have 3 dogs that do same thing. When we needed it quiet (after 1100 pm), it was. We had very peaceful sleep. Coffee and machine available. Host went and got us cream as it was not there initially. Sloppy, rainy (go figure) Northwest winter. I would recommend better stepping stones that are flat/flush to prevent tripping and falling at night when it was hard to navigate from parking area. Lighting of path was not adequate for newcomers. Had fun playing ping pong tournament. Husband won 3:3 matches! TV system was not that difficult to figure out and we are NOT Gen Xers. However, we don't like new streaming services. Local stations difficult to get. More expensive than we feel it should be.

We liked the great comfortable space, kind friendliness, and well thought-out layout of the apartment. It was nice being close to drive into town. We were surprised to discover only 1 big bath towel and a lot of sound from upstairs in the evening and night, (might have been a pet).

Our stay here was phenomenal! Great space with great amenities. Perfect for when you want to get out of the city and enjoy the outdoors! We spent most of our time snowboarding at snoqualmie which is just a quick 25-30 min drive. The host was amazing as well. As we were checking out there was a fallen tree blocking the drive way and he graciously and speedily chopped it up and removed it! Would definitely stay here again. And can’t recommend enough!

A NW winter adventure
The surroundings are beautiful and the dwellings equally beautiful and comfortable. The challenge( because of the extreme weather everyone faced in the area ) was just getting around. Our host was awesome! Shuffling us back and forth up to the place and down! Thanks Khalil!!

Friendly owners who said hello when you were out and about, but never came into the downstairs apartment. Note Apple Maps will take you to the wrong property (keep driving up the access road until you see the Villa Two Peaks Sign).

The apt is actually a basement apt and there are people upstairs constantly romping around. There was no hot water in the shower (very disappointing). I did not receive info regarding our arrival, key code, etc. from the hosts. The place was okay, but somewhat disappointing according to the photos we looked at prior to booking. Wouldn't stay again.

Beautiful views, very scented
The apartment is spacious and furniture is comfortable. As others have mentioned, noise from family upstairs was noticeable. We enjoyed the playground on the property as well, though there is no longer a pool. Biggest challenge was the very artificially scented laundry detergent and cleaning supplies that kicked up my allergies. (But this is always a risk when you stay somewhere new!) Overall, lovely if you’re not scent sensitive like I am.

Loved the space!
This was a spacious rental - plenty big enough for the 2 of us, and it would be comfortable for a family as well, especially if you rented the additional bedroom. It wasn't especially close to Snoqualamie, where we were skiing, but we knew that coming in, and it was nice to be near North Bend. We were always conscious of the family living above us, so if that puts you off, you should look elsewhere, but it wasn't a problem for us. We'd recommend if you don't mind staying below the host!

Lots of space
There was plenty of room to spread out in this space. I should have paid more attention to the fact that it was a basement space. You can definitely hear plenty that is going on above while there. We ended up staying in the bedroom with a fan on to enjoy some quiet. It is in a beautiful area in the middle of the woods which is refreshing. The owners also added me to their real estate email list which was not appreciated. If you need lots of space and don’t care about extra noise then this is a great place!

One Night Was Enough
This "apartment" is the basement of a home. It is indeed spacious, but not a property I would choose again. Because it is the basement of a home, you can hear all the footsteps of the family upstairs. We were even able to hear a small child crying. Additionally, because it's the basement of a home, it smelled like what was prepared for dinner earlier. The large king size bed needs to be replaced. Every time you move/roll over, it bounces around. Finally, a little over a week after our one night stay, I'm now getting real estate solicitations from the property owners. This is inappropriate, in my opinion. We will not return to this location.

Not a quiet July 4th
The setting was beautiful, the property as described, and the host was personable and friendly. However, the reason we booked was to get away from fireworks noise. I made this clear in our initial communication because we have dogs that are terrified of loud noises, and they assured me it would be right for us. But on the 4th of July, his son and friends had a fireworks party on their front lawn that would last until midnight. So we left hurriedly in the dark and went home. We did not stay there that night. The host apologized for the noise, while brushing it off. It’s secluded, but it was not the quiet we needed.

This is a beautiful place located in the wilderness. The space is like an apartment downstairs and amenities were wonderful. Parking was close and on the property. The only thing that could have been improved on was the communication. We were hit with the 75$ pet fee the day before we left on vacation. This could've been communicated out when I sent the original message that we were bringing a pet when we made the original booking a month before.

Very spacious daylight basement apartment. The bed was very nice although I would have liked a bigger or additional pillow, and also a top sheet in addition to the duvet, as I sleep warm and often need to kick off blankets and heavy covers. We were looking forward to watching a movie on the amazing media system but were sad to see that there was no way to access any streaming services (we would have happily used our own paid accounts), and while directions for using the projector were available, it was a little complicated. The sound system was inaccessible from the viewing area so turning down the volume required walking to the kitchen and pointing the remote at the sound system inside a storage closet. This was our first time staying somewhere that had the owners living upstairs, so it was a little weird hearing them walking around and particularly when they ran what sounded like a juicer in the morning, as it was rather loud. The home and property are lovely and I wish we'd had access to explore more of the area and the woods.

Villa Two Peaks
As advertised the property was very private on a hilltop just east of North Bend. It was easy to access and find and entry and basement apartment was very private. It was very spacious and included several sitting areas, table that seated 5-6, a ping pong table and treadmill. While other reviewers had noted some noise from the family above, we did not find the pitter patter of a two year old to be disturbing at all. Overall the location was quiet, excellent star gazing and bird watching.

Great, private unit, great country setting
Great unit! Very spacious daylight basement. Everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival. Nice selection of teas. Lots of square footage. My husband and I, plus our 2 senior dogs really enjoyed the unit. There is some noise from the owners upstairs, but that is to be expected as this is their whole daylight basement! If you require absolute silence, this isn’t the unit for you. But, If you are a logical human that knows there will be some noise from upstairs occasionally, then you’ll be fine. Owners were super nice when we communicated with them. Would stay here again!

Remodeling Escape
Was looking for a mini escape from a long home remodeling project. To have a functional kitchen to cook and bake Christmas cookies! Angelika and Khalil’s place was just what I was looking for. The apartment is the whole ground level. To say it is spacious would be an understatement. There were several comfortable seating areas, dining table, exercise equipment....ping pong table...projector tv....AND a great kitchen- all within one big room with lots of open spaces in between. The private bedroom and bathroom were lovely as well. The house is located in a very private setting with mountain views and trees all around the large yard. Being alone in a quiet, secluded place may have been a bit intimidating. But I felt completely secure and comfortable knowing the owners were right upstairs. They checked in with me several times by text and otherwise left me to enjoy the space privately. I want to come back with my husband to use the ping pong table and spend time outside (tons of hiking trails) in nice weather. Maybe even use the pool! Highly recommend this space.

VERY, VERY noisy the entire stay
I arrived late after work. The property was very dark. There was no lighting on the path to the entry gate and I was greeted by a very large, barking dog. Very scary experience. The owners main living space is just above the apartment. The hard wood floors above meant that I heard every noise of their daily living, minus voices. But every bang and footstep. It says dog friendly, but my dogs were freaked out the entire time because of all the noises from above, including their large dog barking. I was hoping to have a relaxing time in the woods to sew in this large space. Instead we were startled by every noise. I would not recommend this space if you want a quiet, nature get away.

The fees could have been better described. The pet fee is per day. We really enjoyed staying at this property. We liked their attention to detail and appreciated that there place was pet and kid friendly! If you’re looking for a nice getaway definitely come here. We will be staying here again for sure.

Nice place
Quiet and comfortable. Has huge projector tv and ping pong table. Nice sealed cement floor and wood floor with area rugs, which was good with dogs. Bed was comfortable. The only minor issues were: I couldn't get the projector volume to turn down, the path lights were not working (couldn't see path in dark or door lock to unlock), and it got cold at night in the main room. All easily resolvable.

We really liked the spaciousness of the place and the projector TV. The communication with the property owner was good. We thought it would be quieter, though as we heard the owner's dog upstairs and also other noises. Not sure if the dog acted up because we had our dog. We were bummed we didn't see any deer or elk.
