Quilting Retreat
The house was great for our needs of a quilting retreat. It had everything we needed. The large dining room table was perfect for our set up. We had a wonderful stay!!

It feels like home!
We had a great two week rental at the farmhouse. The house has everything you need to be comfortable and cozy. It is so well appointed that it feels like your favorite relative has invited you to watch their home for them while they are away. If someone said "I wish I had...or I should have brought..." our response was "I'm sure whatever you need is already here" (and it always was.). We were able to have two people work remotely on the wi fi without any issues at all. It was the perfect location to work 1/2 days and play on the peninsula every afternoon. You won't regret renting this house! We're already sure we'll be coming back!

Great for a group
What a beautiful house! This was the perfect home base for our group of 5 friends as we visited Leelanau wineries. I’ve never stayed in a rental home with such beautiful decor or thoughtful amenities—truly the nicest property I’ve ever experienced. Highly recommend!

Perfect!
We stayed at the Cherry Farmhouse with two other couples and loved it! Great central location, wonderful amenities and charm to spare. The owners are warm, welcoming, and ready to help with any needs we had. We would definitely stay here again!

Great, spacious home in Northport!
We stayed at the farm house for the weekend of our daughter’s wedding nearby. Loved the spacious bedrooms, updated bathrooms and cozy family room.We will definitely be back for a relaxing stay sometime with friends/family and enjoy all of the outdoor amenities too!

Amazing house and property for families!

Great stay for two families
Our friends were up in Michigan from Florida and we wanted to show them Sleeping Bear. Gary and Caryn's place was an excellent, large house for both our families to stay. They had everything we needed including pack n play and crib for our youngest, games and puzzles around the house, plenty of books and information about the area, and great suggestions for the stay. They also had a fire pit and firewood for us to use. The farm is quite beautiful with many mature trees surrounding the farm house and the ability to walk the orchards. The location is within minutes of Northport, a short drive to Leland/Fishtown, and only about 40 minutes to Sleeping Bear. We had a great trip. Gary and Caryn were very easy to communicate with and responded extremely quickly to any questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Getaway
We were so fortunate to stay at The Cherry Farmhouse! The location was great - close to downtown Northport and just a quick drive to the beaches, hiking trails, and fun towns like Leland and Sutton's Bay! The house was terrific - beautifully updated and wonderfully decorated. The basket of strawberries was a sweet surprise at check-in. Gary and Caryn were lovely and helpful and we enjoyed Gary's stories! Everything you could think of was at our disposal - dishes, spices, yard games, firewood...you name it! The information brochures and books were great - we went on several trails listed in the M-22 trail book. The front porch was the perfect spot to drink coffee in the morning and play card games in the afternoon. We loved the big trees that surrounded the property. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms spacious. We had a fun little dance party using the Amazon Echo. Our boys loved the hammock and we were able to have a bonfire on the last night, which was perfect! When we return to the Leelanau Peninsula we hope to stay at the Cherry Farmhouse again! It was a wonderful place to gather with family to relax and rewind!

Three Generations
We had three generations of adults gathering from across the US to get reacquainted after the pandemic eased up. It was glorious to be together, and the farmhouse felt like home for all of us the moment we stepped into the kitchen. We all wished we had reserved it for a full week!

Cozy and Clean
Our group of four adults came in for a long weekend. The Cherry Farm House was comfortable, CLEAN, and very cozy. Caryn and Gary were incredible hosts. Personally welcomed us and showed as around. The home has modern conveniences such as updated appliances and gorgeous bathrooms without sacrificing the old farmhouse integrity. We will be back for sure!

Very inviting!
We have rented many times through rental sites but this is the first time the owner has met us to show us around the property and even left little welcome gifts and lent us toys for the kids which they loved. There was not one thing missing and anything we forgot - it was there in a drawer or cabinet somewhere!

Great Week on Leelanau Peninsula
We had a great week at the Cherry Farmhouse with our 2 boys (2 and 4yrs). The location was great for us to get to all the parks and small towns on the peninsula. There is also plenty to do at the house for adults and kids. The house is stocked with games (indoor and outdoor) for adults and kids - Gary and Caryn even left some toys especially for the boys which they loved. We also made use of the grill, fire pit, tree swing and hammock. Our first experience at a VRBO was a great one, thanks!

Leelanau Retreat
We had a wonderful time at this VRBO. The owners are very responsive. There are great touches throughout the house. The rooms are comfortable and inviting. There are a ton of dishes in the kitchen for your cooking needs. It was very relaxing.

Farmhouse on a Cherry Farm
Our family rented the property for my parents 70th birthdays. Everything about the place was perfect. Karen and Gary really care about their guests as the house is in perfect shape and there is a ton of stuff to do at the house and around the area. I would strongly recommend for a big group. Great vacation home!
The home was cozy and welcoming, everything I expected from the description and the reviews! Gary and Caryn were extremely helpful and accommodating from the minute we made reservations to checkout. We enjoyed the cozy living room with gas fireplace, fully functional kitchen, the updated bathrooms, and plenty of room to accommodate all of the guests. Everyone was happy!

Beautiful, charming, wonderful.
It was better than advertised! They thought of everything, we didn’t even have to log into our own Netflix, Hulu, or prime account. The Roku was setup and ready to go. My daughter got married at the Northport bay retreat and we rented this property for additional guests. Everyone that stayed there loved it! We had caterers at the retreat for the wedding and they needed a can opener but the one at the retreat did not work, no worries we were able to borrow one from the house and avoid the potential crisis. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your home.

September wedding at Verterra The Ridge
We enjoyed our 4 night stay. The house was very roomy and clean. The owners have thought of everything you would need to make your stay feel like home. The house was well equipped for my 2 year old great niece as well as my 80 year old mom. The peaches, wine and flowers you left for us was greatly appreciated. Would gladly stay again.

Absolutely amazing!
We had the best time at the farm house. The location was perfect, close to everything! We had a total of 8 adults on our trip and this rental had so much room. The front porch was one of our favorite spots to sit and relax with a cup of coffee, and the fire pit was a huge hit. Everything was extremely clean and tidy and we loved the decor. This house has EVERYTHING you would ever need on a vacation, which was a huge plus since we didn't have to purchase things we forgot to bring with us. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to the Northport area. We already spoke about coming back in a couple years. Absolutely fabulous!!!

A place out of time. Couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting or more considerate and kind hosts. They had maps, directory of local destinations, even kids events at the library for our children. Caryn and Gary made the trip even better The house has everything we could've ever imagined needing and more. Northport is a great City. Highly recommend this home.

We fully enjoyed our stay here. The property and home were beautiful with a great location close to town. The owners put a lot of work into making the home very accommodating and special for guests. We not only enjoyed exploring the peninsula, but also loved using the property's yard games, fire pit, and the games inside. The home inside is beautiful and though updated, still provides all the charm of an old farmhouse. Gary was very responsive to all messages. Everything was wonderful!!! Both picturesque and relaxing
We were traveling to Northport for a wedding at the end of June and booked this magnificent old farm house a year in advance. Every detail was thought of! As a lover of old houses, I was thrilled to stay in this farm house. Updates for comfort like gorgeous bathrooms was very nice but I also appreciated the banister staircase, trim in the house, and the knotty pine cabinetry. Gary and Caryn were welcoming hosts and very responsive with any questions. We also enjoyed downtown Northport! This little down is a lovely get away from the traffic of downtown Traverse City. We even took in the local farmers' market and Music in the Park later that evening on the waterfront. Everything was lovely!!! We will definitely come up again. Thank you!!

Wonderful Home!
This home has everything you could ask for and all are top-notch and in excellent condition. The attention to detail from the outlets & light switches to the appliances to the household supplies is phenomenal. I wish we could have spent more time there; it's in an excellent location with beautiful grounds and a peaceful atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this home to families or groups of friends who are looking for a comfortable, well-appointed and conveniently located home.

Gary and Caryn have created lovely accommodations on a beautiful piece of property, in a perfect location.....and truly there is no detail they left out. The house is well maintained, very very clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything one would need. Bedrooms with large closets and very comfortable beds. The kitchen fully stocked, the bathrooms fully stocked (toilet paper, kleenex, soap in showers and at sink, mouthwash & plenty of towels.) and a laundry room with soap and an ironing board. We so appreciated every inch of detail that Gary and Caryn provided and truly appreciated the welcome bottle of wine, flavored coffee beans and the fresh flowers that were there awaiting our arrival. We were up in Northport for the weekend for our nephew's wedding and our only regret was we couldn't stay longer. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Gary and Caryn.

Amazing Girls Weekend!!
This was a gorgeous house! Seven of us came up for a 4 day girls weekend, and enjoyed staying here. The house was very clean, had everything we needed and had so much charm and character. This is a wonderful property with everything you could need for your stay. The owners have put a lot of care and thought into preparing for guests. The farmhouse is well cared for and beautiful. We had a wonderful, although too short, visit. Would love to return when we can stay longer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely farmhouse. Rooms were well appointed and there were nice touches throughout the house. The kitchen was stocked with just about everything you could need and the bottle of local wine and roasted coffee were a nice touch (and delicious as well!) The house was spotlessly clean and centrally located so drives to Northport, Sutton's Bay, or over to Leland took no time at all.

Comfortable, Large and Great Location
Recently spent weekend at the Cherry FarmHouse just after Labor Day weekend. House is plenty large, clean, and very comfortable with all the creature comforts!! Location is excellent being just outside of Northport.. lots of things to do! Owners are very nice and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful Stay!
Our family had an absolute perfect stay at the farmhouse! Owners’ Gary and Caryn welcomed our family upon arrival. It was nice that they shared information about the house and area. To welcome us, they had a bottle of wine from a local winery for us to enjoy. They also provided a package of coffee from a local roaster. The kitchen has everything you would need!! This home was very clean and comfortable. It offered plenty of room for our family of 7. We enjoyed the bird feeders outside the kitchen window. Our 22 month old grandson liked watching the chipmunk who climbed his way to the feeder. The farmhouse was perfectly located to allow us to venture out and enjoy this beautiful area. We highly recommend this vacation home! We would definitely choose this home again and may do so in the future! Gary and Caryn do a fine job ensuring your stay is a fabulous experience. Thank you!
