We had a fabulous 4 night stay in February, the hotel was clean, modern and perfect for walking into Oslo for shopping and food. We spent 2 days at the ski resort and it was just a 5 minute walk to the metro. Great place, would happily stay again.

All staff are great - they are everything and top reason we would come back. Very helpful, friendly and solved problems efficiently. Stayed here 3 nights. Buffet breakfast has good varieties. Coffee and tea provided at the front lounge area 24/7 was a great addition. We originally chose this place because there are options for the rooms with kitchenette (which we needed desperately for our child who has food allergies issues). However, our first night we stayed at a room without kitchenette due to some renovation reasons. The manager and staff were very attentive, they moved us into another room with kitchenette for the rest of our stay. Everything was clean and tidy. The area is quiet, pleasant, and walkable to lots of things: shopping, tram/train stations, attractions. We would definitely come back!

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Very big facilities, great apartment room, quiet surroundings, and we LOVED the breakfast choices. Walking distance from many attractions, as well as well connected with public transport. We will surely be back when we visit Oslo ❤️

My husband and i came to spend 1 night with our 18 year old. The reception class were exceptionally friendly and welcoming plus helpful. The room was clean and hadbwhat we needed. The double sofa bed was comfortable. When we went down for breakfast we were very impressed with the variety of options on offer. Staff were friendly. Would most definitely stay in this chain hotel again The hotel was about a 20 minute walk to the centre and a 5 minute walk tops to an area with restaurants. All in all we have had an amazing 2 days in Oslo.

Room was spacious and had a nice little kitchen area hidden away. Bathroom with underfloor heating was a bonus. Walls and floorboards can appear to be quite thin, meaning you can hear a lot of other people and heavy walking. This was quite irritating the first night as we were unfortunate to have someone constantly walking around all night! Breakfast area is clean. Has ample food choices, but only one 2 slice toaster - which was bizarre, and causing delays/queues. The coffee machine was very difficult to use, and there wasn’t many servers offering coffee - so this experience was not the greatest.

Avoid! Not sure who has given it positive reviews!
The room itself was incredibly small and had very very poor sound proofing. It was as if there were elephants in the room above us and the loud, intermittent noise from the fridge is very irritating. The bed is very small and the pillows are even smaller so very uncomfortable. When asked for another pillow (on all 4 nights) I was told that the hotel was full and they didn't have any spare or that the cleaners cupboard was locked and nobody else had a key. The beddings or towels were not changed during our 4 night stay. The floor wasn't cleaned once (It was very snowy outside so was a real mess). The bathroom is not very pretty and the fact the shower screen doesn't reach the floor means the room can get quite wet. I also think the raised bathroom floor is a bit of a trip hazard. The free toiletries were one 'all over shampoo'. Overall I find the room incredibly small and very basic and I am really disappointed. Fortunately breakfast was quite nice and varied, although the hot food options were not very warm. It is also disappointing that there isn't a nice seating or bar area to sit in too. Finally on a personal note, I did send an email via stating it was my birthday (my partner and I usually go away every year) and they didn't even leave a note mentioning this. I tried to mention my issues to reception several times but was told there was nothing that could be done as no manager was available. I tried to call down and had to wait 30 mins on the hotel phone.

Loved all of the space! Would be better to have kitchen stocked. Ours didn’t have forks. Bathroom tiny compared to room size. Appreciated help with taxis.

I had an excellent stay at this beautiful hotel. They have friendly, attentive, welcoming and professional staff. The hotel is located in a quiet road, safe and with great amenities. The room I’ve stayed at was quiet, very clean, spacious and beautiful. Also the room has cooking facilities and kitchen equipments and utensils. Breakfast buffet was excellent with many options. The location is nearby many of the attractions, point of interests and a train ride from and to the airport. I Highly recommend this hotel.

The staff working in all areas of the hotel are brilliant. The receptionist who chatted to me about the history of the hotel group and the interior design inspired me to read up about Olav and Cecil; what amazing people they are. Breakfast is also outstanding and the dining room is so inviting , I loved it.

The hotel is located in a quiet yet central area near the Royal Palace, with easy access to shopping streets, restaurants, and museums. I stayed in a one-bedroom with a comfortable double bed, balcony, and plenty of amenities such as two TVs, a mini fridge, and a safe. It was a perfect stay for a first-time traveller!

Smaller hotel with pleasant swedish feel. Location just outside of CBD is convenient. Waterfront location is great, and I loved the waterfront walking and cycling path.

What a pleasant surprise! My sister's family and my family had a 24 hour layover in Oslo, so we decided to stay here for the night. The train from the airport was simple to navigate and kids were free!! We checked our luggage in lockers at the airport and just brought backpacks. The train was spotless and we were so happy that the train stop was just a short walk to the hotel. The walk included passing the palace and through the gorgeous palace gardens. The hotel was easy to find, clean and had a lovely staff. The breakfast the next morning was actually astonishing! After a 2 week trip in Europe, this was by far the easiest hotel to access from an airport into a city, the best included breakfast and simplest overall part. We spent the evening after check-in walking through the city, and the morning just enjoying the gorgeous park across the street. Then onto the train and back to the airport. Highly recommend this for families, but also for any traveller looking for a simple, easy and pleasant getaway.

American travelers will find this hotel to be an excellent value (Hilton/Hyatt standards) It was outstanding, for the price class it's in. The gourmet buffet breakfast was incredible, and very unexpected. Rooms are modern, very nice, very good bedding and pillows, immaculate bathroom features/plumbing. Lobby is welcoming and comfortable and free coffee/tea all day. We sat in the lobby a lot, just because it was nice down there! This particular Thon ( there are 4 or 5 in Oslo) is a bit of a walk from the Central Train Station (Oslo S), but possible to walk to. Next time, we'd jump on the street car at the train station and take it up the hill to the hotel's neighborhood. Its location is good for the park and the Royal Palace grounds that are just across the street. We felt very very safe here, and in Oslo in general.

The property was OK for a budget hotel, but they did NOT give us the room we booked (we booked a double...they gave us a room with 2 singles) and the hotel feels dated. Hotel manager wasn't friendly although the staff was much better.

I liked this place, the rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The room had AC, so i slept very comfortably. The breakfast was free and very satisfying. The staff were friendly, polite, professional and very helpful. They do have laundry on site which is great because we were on week 1 of oir vacation and needed to do laundry. The machines were affordable and easy to us. The only drall back, is i had to park at the Radisson Hotel a few blocks away. Other then, that this place was great!
