My husband and I stayed at Walnut Beach Resort July 28-Aug 1. The resort is in a beautiful location, it’s clean, front desk staff were super friendly. I liked our “Chardonnay”room with a view of the mountains. It was clean and spacious with a very comfy bed. Never went to the pool as there were lots of kids annd heard it was way to warm to cool off. We prefer the beach to the pool anyway. The beach was clean but found there wasn’t enough shady areas. More umbrellas would be nice for sure. To me the beach was too small and prefer a bit more space but honestly that would be the only thing I could mention on the negative side. Wasn’t a fan at all of the Pointe 49 restaurant. We had a pasta dish and the noodle were way over cooked and sticky. We told the waitress about it and all she said was ok, I will tell the kitchen. Ok, you do that. lol. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

The walnut resort was great. It was kid friendly and gave us options with laying by the pool and enjoying a drink or wondering down to the lake to enjoy the beach and have a swim. We will definitely be back

The hotel is nicely set up around the heated pool overlooking the lake. The beds were comfortable although the pillows could use an upgrade. Our balcony overlooked the pool area and had a couple chairs which were not comfortable to sit in. The resort is a nice family destination!

I guess I was expecting too much. The pool was quite small and crowded with young children and their parents. We used the private beach, but there were motorboats nearby, and the water didn’t feel very clean. We stayed on the second floor, and there was absolutely no soundproofing. Every time someone walked on the third floor, we could hear loud thumping noises. It was a big issue for me because I’m very sensitive to noise and was hoping to relax—but I left feeling more stressed. I was going to ask for a different room, but the staff said the noise would get better. We were also too tired to move all our things, so we ended up staying. Unfortunately, it never improved. The restaurant host was pretty and seemed quite young, but she didn’t seem interested in interacting or making an effort to be friendly. It was awkward, and the food was honestly terrible—I wouldn’t recommend eating there. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing stay, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Kids run around the property all day long, so it’s really only ideal for families with small children. We didn’t even get to use the pool. I definitely won’t be coming back.

I loved the layout. The pool and private beach are right beside each other. The staff were all very friendly. Henry was our poolside and beach waiter. He really gave exceptional service and made us feel like he was only attending to us although he had about 30 other customers to serve.

Honesty, we had an amazing time. We rented a two bedroom with a lakeview and it had everything you could want. Super spacious, bright and well appointed. Lots of towels, comfy beds, great views. Service was great at check in and decent poolside and beachside. Pool was warm and reasonably clean. Beach was clean and lake wasperfect. Restaurant was decent, not great but decent. My one and only complaint is that they desperately need to enforce no holding beach chairs. Both at the pool and the beach lounge chairs were held all day by people's towels and sandals. One day the entire beach was empty for 3 hours and almost every lounger was being held.:(

Lovely place to stay. Pool and beach were great. Loved having pool drink & food service. Restaurant service and food were also excellent. Rooms need new linens, pillows, and new pain & decor. Definitely showing its age. I'd definitely return. Little too pricey though
