Shady dealings
Couple of problems , Cash Only ,The owner refused to take a Credit card (I assumed it would be charged through Hotels.com)and only found out afterwards that a couple I just met paid my Bill w/ cash. The price Booked online was $75 per room and they paid $220 .Thats $70 more than quoted ? Thats not all that's shady ,Without my knowledge or approval . I am booked for three more future stays( 2 in Sept and 1 in Dec.). I showed the owner the mistake while I was there and she shrugged her shoulders . need confirmation of no future bookings and hotel.com are impossible to contact . The place is very nice but issues cause leaving with a bad experience overall

Never got chance to stay because the patron was not there and said that we had made a mistake with the booking even though we had printed confirmation from booking .com. It was all quite poor really, difficult to find.

Lit confortable et grande salle de bain avec des Ć  l'italienne. PropretĆ© irrĆ©prochable. Seul bĆ©mol : toute petite tĆ©lĆ© dans une armoire sur le cĆ“tĆ© peu pratique mais je ne regarde pas. Le sĆ©jour est correct, l'hĆ“tesse agrĆ©able, toutefois, le coq pourrait ĆŖtre enfermer pour la nuit, Ć©vitant de chanter et de nous rĆ©veiller Ć  4,30 h du matin (pour info, j'en ait 8 Ć  la maison au sein de ma basse cour) - La tĆ©lĆ©vision est mal placĆ©e dans le placard et trĆØs difficile d'accĆØs sur le plan visibilitĆ© - Sur la table d'hĆ“te, le verre de vin Ć  6 euros n'est pas justifiĆ© en sus d'un menu Ć  24 euros.

correct ... sauf l'odeur d'Ć©gout dans la chambre
Nous avons sĆ©journĆ© en couple 29 et 30 juillet au Haut MontrayĆ©. Le site est conforme aux descriptions et mĆŖme plutĆ“t cosy. Monique nous a accueilli agrĆ©ablement et nous a conseillĆ© un trĆØs bon restaurant sur AlenƧon. Le petit dĆ©jeuner Ć  base de produits maisons Ć©tait simple mais correct. MAIS (oui il y a un gros 'MAIS') notre chambre en rez de chaussĆ©e (chambre 'Amandine') Ć©tait parfumĆ©e aux effluves d'Ć©gouts. Lors de notre retour du restaurant une odeur infecte mĆ©lange d'odeur de WC et d'Ć©gout/fosse septique emplissait la chambre, pourtant pas de fuite visible dans la salle de bain. FenĆŖtre fermĆ© ou ouverte rien n'y faisait. L'odeur semblait provenir de l'exterieur mais aussi dā€™un coin de la chambre. Nous avons du utiliser le parfum de ma femme pour tenter (inutilement) de rendre l'odeur supportable, et passer une nuit fenĆŖtre ouverte malgrĆ© des tempĆ©ratures extĆ©rieures plutĆ“t fraiche cette nuit-lĆ . Monique sā€™est offusquĆ©e de la description de la situation lors de notre dĆ©part arguant que sa maison est saine, mais un petit quelque chose dans son comportement me fait penser quā€™elle Ć©tait au courant mais a quand mĆŖme dĆ©cidĆ© louer cette chambre. (voir photo : la chambre donne sur un caniveau Ć  ciel ouvert Ć  lā€™entretien douteux oĆ¹ crache des tuyaux sortant de la dalle). Verdict : Ć  Ć©viter malgrĆ© des points positifs
