You need to get away for a few days. At this cabin, mountain adventures are just outside your door. Hiking, rock climbing, photography, bird watching, fishing, and more!
At the end of the day, return to your Home Away from Home for a campfire and a long night’s rest.
But, can't get away from your job? No problem-- this cabin has WiFi available! How about a workcation?!
Please read the following cabin description so you know what to expect.
The cabin is in the heart of the Spruce Knob Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area-- 20 minutes from Spruce Knob or Seneca Rocks. Other popular attractions are nearby also.
The property borders the national forest, so hiking and other nature activities are right there.
The cabin has a full bath, stocked with linens.
As for food preparation, the cabin has a kitchenette with a double-burner hot plate, a microwave, four-cup coffee pot, and a small refrigerator. Note: please do not drink the tap water; there will be several bottles of drinking water at the cabin to get you started; after that, you will need to provide your own.
Outside, chill out on the country-style front porch and let the world go by. Enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the squirrels.
There is also a fire pit, park-style grill, and a picnic table, because what vacation to the mountains is complete without a campfire and burgers?!
Please note that we do not allow early check-ins or late check-outs. Check-in is anytime after 4 pm, and check-out is 11:00 am or before.
Guests have access to the entire cabin except for one locked closet with cleaning supplies.
We are available by phone, and may or may not stop by. Phone service is not good in the area, so it is best to make all contact before you come.
We have two other cabins close by. Other than that, there is wilderness, hiking, and scenery in abundance!
Bring your own transportation.
It is best to come in an all-wheel drive vehicle in snow months. The cabin is at 3000 ft elevation.
Please do not drink the tap water at the cabin. You will find several bottles of water under the kitchen sink. Other than that, you will need to bring drinking water.
This is a disconnect-from-it-all-and-recharge-in-nature vacation, although WiFi is now available at the cabin. (: Phone service is limited. If you have AT&T, you can get service 15 minutes from the cabin. You can drive 45-50 minutes to get Verizon.
