I was looking for a peaceful writing retreat and that's exactly what I got! The history of the cottage was what drew me in but the way it has been lovingly restored was gorgeous. The heated bathroom floor and beautiful claw foot bath were amazing. The bed extremely comfortable and the fire was very much used on the chilly nights. A well equipped kitchen.The gardens were beautiful and peaceful to walk around and sitting in the afternoon winter sun was magic. The perfect, peaceful getaway! Her property is fully fenced with lots of space to run around while admiring her gorgeous gardens. She was also a wonderful and prompt communicator. The Cottage is cosy, warm and beautifully decorated. It was a perfect getaway for a cold winter weekend and we enjoyed drinks in front of the fire in the evenings and early morning walks in the village with our dog Monty. We highly recommend this place. We enjoyed the gardens, hedges, gravel drive, jonquils and grevillea in bloom.
