Come and enjoy our charming 1920’s era, just renovated, 2-bedroom 1-bathroom house with off street parking.

This rental shares a pool with two others on the same property. It can be range from private to slightly shared based on the other two rentals. The back door to this rental opens into the pool area so small children and pets be cautioned.

Artwork adorns the walls for a warm and homelike feel and the ample living area and dining area provide an open and inviting atmosphere. Original hardwood floors add to the charm and warm feeling of the house.

Amenities: Stearns & Foster pillow-top king beds, three panel tv’s (living room and each bedroom--HBO, SHOWTIME, CINEMAX, STARZ, ENCORE), full kitchen with full size side-by-side fridge with ice maker, coffee pot, microwave, dining area and a beautifully restored claw foot tub with shower in the bath.

Central location in a lovely historical neighborhood
We loved the property location and the pool area is beautiful. However, there are a few small tweaks that could be done such as fixing the bathroom doors so they stay closed. The most troubling safety concern we had was the strong smell of natural gas and I was not sure that there were C02 detectors. The smell was the strongest in the laundry room so we opted not to use the washer and dryers. Otherwise, it was a lovely property.

Great location and host
Brian is a great host - responds quickly to emails and texts; Property is located in a fabulous neighborhood, about 1/2 mile from a city park that has a playground and large fields. The backyard space is perfect for unwinding after a day of walking downtown, and it's a fairly easy commute to all of the touristy things in San Antonio. It did have a couple of quirky things - the tub/shower is an experience (it did work tho), and the stove is older than my mother (we didn't try it). All in all, don't let those things stop you from booking. I'd stay here again :)

We really enjoyed our stay at this rental. We were sad to leave. The property was great and the pool was amazing. It is in a great central location to all of our plans. It could not have been better! Next time we are in San Antonio, we will be staying here!

Well Below Expectations
The property owner was sent pictures and made aware of the following issues before this review. Upon arrival, the house had a terrible odor. We went to a local grocery store and purchased scented plugins to help with the odor. There was a half-eaten hamburger and chips left in the oven. Cobwebs were hanging from both the living room and bedroom ceiling fans. The pool (which was the main reason we chose your home) was littered with leaves and bugs. The water pressure in the shower was unpleasantly high, even after adjusting the shower head up as far as possible. The backyard area was overgrown, and the outdoor seating was unclean. We are never one's to complain, but even at the price point, this home was well under our expectations.

Clean and comfortable in a good location with great pool
This is a great place to stay, particularly with the record heat we encountered while in San Antonio. The air conditioners worked great, the pool was refreshing and the beds were incredibly comfortable. It's just a short drive to the Riverwalk, restaurants and everywhere we wanted to go. Additionally, the on-site laundry is very convenient. While the house is dated, it only adds to the charm. Our host, Brian, was very responsive and did everything possible to ensure we had an enjoyable visit. We would definitely stay at this location again!

Pretty good stay
We enjoyed our stay here and the pool was wonderful! Property has a ton of potential but is a little run down. Beds were a little firmer than we like but the water pressure in the shower was excellent! Very little silverware provided but otherwise the kitchen had all we needed!

Wonderful apartment with a great pool
After a winter storm in Minnesota disrupted our travel to LA and on to a cruise, we made last minute arrangements to travel to San Antonio. We wanted some place with a pool that would fit a family of 4 with a grandmother and close to the riverwalk. This lower level apartment was perfect for us. The pool and sitting areas outside are a real blessing. The pool was very clean, warm, and well maintained. The inside accommodations were clean, the beds very comfortable, my 15 year old son slept on the pull out couch and was comfortable. The whole family complimented on how good the water pressure was in the shower. Brian's messages and delivery of more towels for the pool were quick kind. The apartment is indeed close to the river walk less than 10 minute drive. As travelers that had not been to San Antonio before we assumed close to the river walk, ment within walking distance. As it turned out it was close but 2-4 miles away. Which are walking distances but not with a 73 year old grandmother. There are 4 food trucks in regular operation only 4 blocks from the apartment with great options for quick take out meals. The kitchen appliances were clean and in good working order. The fridge was cool and the freezer made quick clean ice. It was stocked with normal kitchen accessories like coffee, coffee filters, salt pepper, and other seasonings. The first 2 days were hot in the middle 90's and the AC's did a great job of cooling the apartment. Thanks Brian!!

Nice place, some issues.
Overall ok. But VRBO provided the wrong code and wrong POC for the property. But property owner had sent a number for another POC, so we were able to enter. Satellite TV didn’t work. WI-FI didn’t work. But good location and we spent most time away from the property. Also- sounds like maybe something lives in the walls. Mice?

The shower and air conditioner leaked. The door wasn’t sealed. It shut but had holes around it. Animals in the walls. Carpet needed replaced dirty.The TV which was direct TV didn’t work. Very Disappointed

Great stay in San Antonio
We had a wonderful experience renting this property. It was very easy check-in and the owner was accessible if we needed anything. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pool was great! The pool was a lifesaver in the extreme heat. Location was great. The first week we were vacationing and we were in a great location close to everything. The second week we were at a church convention at the convention center downtown and this location was terrific! Just a couple of miles away. We very much enjoyed San Antonio and this VRBO was a great stay.

enjoyable property, very centrally located
Very grateful to the owners for assisting us through our stay and making us welcome. Enjoyed the house - quaint in its own old charming way. The neighborhood is wonderful to walk in and see all of the old houses and how they are being redone. We hope to come back again in the summer and look forward to getting a dinner reservation at OK (Outlaw Kitchen). Rated as one of the best restaurants in San Antonio and it is a block away from this house.

Adorable and Affordable
We truly enjoyed our stay in this home! We did, however, have some difficulty getting into the house due to the door’s combination mix-up, but luckily Frank and Bryan solved it right quick! Some of the utensils were dirty, so we just purchased our own along with disposable plates. Other than that, we would definitely stay again; we love the neighborhood! In fact, we used to live on W Summit many years ago. We weren’t sure what the check-out instructions were, so we cleaned up before we left. This is a charming home, and we’d be happy to move in! Thank you so much; we even fell in love with the kitties!
