Perfect Getaway
We loved the property. We checked in Friday and left Monday morning. We live in Houston and had family visiting the US from South America and took a trip to Sea World which property is close by. We enjoyed the pool and we barbecued with the family. Just the perfect lighting at the deck by the pool allowed us to enjoy the outdoors longer at night. The owner was very attentive, checking up if we needed anything, such as housekeeping etc. I highly recommend it. We bought our yearly membership to Sea World, so we will definitely comeback!

Disappointing
Property was disappointing and not at all worth the price point. Keypad was broken at check in and the contact person for the property was not answering their phone and it kept saying your call cannot be completed as dialed. Eventually someone’s answered and we got into the house and it was a sparsely stocked kitchen, old cheap mattresses, loud conjoined property, questionable security and a nasty pool. We personally stayed elsewhere. I should have communicated with host that we were unhappy but I opted not to as it was midnight and they were already terribly difficult to get ahold of. All in all, not worth the price at all

It’s unfortunate that you choose to give a 1 star review when you had an issue and i called you back in 5 min and i got you in then you left the house right away without even letting me know so its very questionable how you even had time to see all of those issues by not even staying there , i will contact vrbo to remove your review !!

Good for families
Property has plenty of space and a great outdoor area. Close to entertainment and shopping. We'll stocked kitchen. Need to know: All bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs! Otherwise, it is a nice location.

Excellent location
The location is great for a trip to Floore's, golf, or the shops at La Cantera. The pool setup was great for our group and very well taken care of. The kitchen has all the basics, if you plan on cooking bring spices with you.

Stressed out stay!
The home has been divided into 2 or 3 other spaces which left no bathroom downstairs! Different spaces aren't marked so I opened a door that was to the owners quarters and add said we would be alone. We realized at night that the front living room window was completely missing! It was a long window anyone of the street could have walked right in! Spent the next day of my vacation dealing with owner who did not reimburse me anything for my troubles. The pool water was so low it was sucking air so I filled it so the pump wouldn't burn up. It was creepy and dirty and fire grill was disgusting. They were argumentative and accusing and I'm there with only women and 2 teens with no window and didn't appreciate being put in danger.

I deeply apologize for the extremely poor experience you had at our rental property. It was completely unacceptable for the space to be unsafe, unclean, and not properly prepared for guests. We clearly failed to properly inspect and prepare the property before your arrival. The missing window and divided layout without a downstairs bathroom showed negligence on our part. Your safety should have been our top priority. We have addressed all of the issues you mentioned, including replacing the missing window, improving cleanliness, fixing the pool, and ensuring the different rental spaces are clearly marked and separated. I also want to apologize for our defensive response when you contacted us about the problems. We should have addressed your very valid concerns with understanding and worked to immediately make it right. Please know that we have learned from this experience, and are putting procedures in place to prevent such unacceptable conditions in the future. I know we cannot undo the impact this had on your vacation, but I hope you will give us another chance to provide you a safe, clean, and enjoyable stay. If you have any other concerns or suggestions, do not hesitate to let me know. Again, I sincerely apologize.

Perfect Location
The location was perfect, really close to shopping and about 15 minutes from downtown area. Lots of shopping within 5 minutes. The home was spacious and had a wonderful backyard pool area and comfy outdoor seating. My kids loved being outside. Daniel was responsive and helpful. We had an issue with the A/C but he was quick to get someone to come out and fix it.

Unsanitary, toilet upstairs only, safety concerns
One of the mattress covers had a dirty smear (of what looked like human feces) on it. We a huge roach inside and a dead roach in the dish detergent bin. There were zero restrooms on the 1st floor which impacted some of our family members with more limited mobility. There is a remnant that shared the property, although the spaces are separated, a man living on property was not disclosed. The key less door entry code is easily figured out and some windows do not lock. When I raised these matters to the owner, he didn’t even respond. He could have apologized or at least pretended that he would look into the items - but instead did not even reply. The house has some great features but the description was not detailed enough. It doesn’t even indicate which rooms are upstairs.

I want to sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay. Maintaining high cleanliness standards is extremely important to me, so I was disappointed to hear about the mattress cover and roaches. My cleaning team thoroughly cleaned and disinfected all bedding and surfaces after your departure. We also brought in pest control to address any potential roach issues. You are correct that I did disclosed there is a mother in law suite with a tenant which is completely separated from the house and I provided full transparency to future guests. As for the door code and windows, I have reset the code and ensured that all windows now properly lock. I made a mistake in not promptly responding to your concerns during your stay. As a host, it's my responsibility to quickly address any problems that come up to ensure all guests are comfortable. I have learned from this experience, and will be far more responsive going forward. Please accept my apologies again for falling short. I have addressed all the issues based on your feedback, as I highly value improving as a host. Do let me know if there is anything else I can assist with. Family get together
This was the first time experience for me and my family and I wasn't disappointed very nice neighborhood and close to Sea World and Fiesta Texas also a variety of restaurants in the area. The landlord was great and was easy to contact through messages on app over all would stay again. Thanks for everything.

This was a fun house that was able to easily accommodate all of us. The pool was a blast, the house was clean, and the manager was easy to get a hold of.

Take the good with the bad
Our stay was good. First day the battery on the front door was dead so we lost a day of activity waiting for someone to come and change the battery, otherwise we would not be able to get back in. Second night someone was roaming through the backyard after we went to bed. Third afternoon, the pool guy came to clean the pool and left the waterhose in the pool running, and he entered the house and left the back door unsecured. Day four went to the park, came back lights off for a while, then when lights came back on, we had not internet for the tv. We spent the rest of the evening talking to some company that handles the internt. We finally got internet around 9:30 (bedtime). All the children enjoyed the pool and the games and the lesson of having to deal with life problems as they come. I would stay here again!!!!!

There is a tenant living in an attached part of the house. The house regularly smelt like pot and cigarettes from these tenants. You could also hear them in the middle of the night talking and slamming doors. The house wasnt clean. We found bugs, candy wrappers, other people's clothing under beds, etc. The ceiling fan was caked in dust. Half the lights were out on the main level. There was a large pile of puke in the yard. The pool was freezing and dirty. The pictures made the house look much cleaner and larger than it really is in person. Overall we were pretty bummed by the experience. We did communicate this with the management company and they were responsive but at that point it was just too late.

Kristi, we do apologize and did address the issues your initially reported. The pool is regularly serviced on Mondays and Thursday mornings. It should be in welcome letter with the candy bowl. The pool is not heated, Texas weather changes daily. We did replace the patio chairs, as you can tell prior guest did not respect our property by leaving their puke in our yard. Ultimately it is the cleaning company responsibility to make sure things are left to our standards and for that I truly apologize. We also offer to have maintenance go and replace the bulbs that we out and well as cleaning but you opted out of that. I truly wished you had let us try to make things better. We honored your request. I hope you understand we are committed to making sure our guest have a 5 star experience and hope you can come back her or another property and really experience how homes true beauty.

At check in the house was not ready. The cleaning crew was still working. The game room is is really two games in the living room and the controls on one of them doesn't work. The pool, which was the main draw, had to be repaired from the last guests putting holes in the liner, so my kids got about two hours to use it, first because it was under repair.and then because the weather turned cold. The dishwasher was clogged and breeding insects, which the owner was aware of and had not told us. The toilet in the guest bathroom leaked at the base and had to be repaired. During our stay, we learned the freezer wasn't working properly and we had to throw out food. When we reported it, we were told they need a new refrigerator, again a problem we weren't told about ahead of time. The house is a duplex and we smelled cigarette smoke coming through the vents - not sure if it was the tenants from the other part of the house or if the air filters are dirty. Other small details we noticed were loose brackets, old bed frames, slow draining tubs and broken closet doors. We will remember these things and the money we lost before anything nice about our stay in the house.

We clearly failed as responsible hosts to meet basic standards of cleanliness, maintenance and truthfulness in advertising. Exposing guests to issues around safety, comfort and functionality shows negligence on our part. We should have been far more transparent about any pre-existing wear and tear or appliances in disrepair. Not a Bad getaway for a few nights
Property itself is great, nice size living room arcade area the backyard and pool are great if you have littles ones. There are a few cons about the cleanliness of the property itself. Sure the basic cleaning and sanitizing was Completed but overall the house itself needs a decent remodel. I am no house expert but i see alot of things wrong with the house that certain people would not like. No restroom downstairs, some doors dont seem to close all the way(meaning easy access for insects and critters you would not welcome in your home. Most windows, doors, and Air Ducts are either full covered with spider webs or just alot of build of of dust and debris from so many years. I was welcomed by a 5 inch cockroach when we first arrived. My wife killed 2 spiders and 2 silverfish. Sure this is texas and bugs will always be in your life but to walk in on the first day greeted by these critters isnt pleasant. Finally i have to add that there is people living in a seperate unit attached to the home. They were not a bother what so ever but since there was nothing on the listing about people living under you pretty much(when you are upstairs) i had to add it on to let other people know. Overall home was a good getaway for a night or two. Private pool for my Kids and quiet neighborhood. Manager was very communicative.

Super Pleased would have stayed longer if available
My husband, 5 of his construction guys, and 2 teenage girls stayed at the property for 2 weeks and would have stayed longer if it were available. we were in town from Houston so my husband, whose an essential worker maintaining 911 communication lines, could work on a project in San Antonio during the shelter in place order. It was like a home-away-from-home we had plenty of room. the girls really enjoyed the fire pit as well as the pool it really helped to occupy them and pass time since we couldn't go anywhere. Our husky really enjoyed the huge backyard too. The house was filled with all of the essentials we could have possibly needed everything was perfectly a appointed and clean upon arrival. We found Levi's the property manager to be extremely helpful. He replied to all of our questions within 5 minutes. I definitely look forward to staying at this property again anytime we are looking for housing for our crew we check to see if this property is available. I highly recommend checking out this property I promise you won't be disappointed.

This house is Amazing! I don’t know where to begin! My family that consisted of 11 and an additional family of 6 that joined for the family gathering, but didn’t stay, were very pleased and had a Fantastic visit. It was truly Amazing! We Bbq’d burgers and hot dogs, the backyard was huge and played catch. It’s winter so the pool was not available. We did have a problem with the fire pit, there was no propane fuel , but we managed to work that out with the owner. So we enjoyed our s’mores with the kids And that was a big hit! And not to mention it kept us warm in a brisk winter night. The beds were soo very comfortable!!!! I promise the pics and accommodations are on point.

House is not what is pictured & described
There are only 2 bathrooms & both bathrooms are upstairs. A family member in a wheelchair was unable to stay at home due to no bathrooms downstairs. Pictures are not true to home. No separate living room. Half of home has been made into efficiency which a person is currently renting. There was no WiFi for a whole day and 1st night of staying in this home. Spectrum was scheduled to come out and fix internet during second day of being there. I booked this home three months in advance, and I feel Daniel should not have waited last minute to fix WiFi, leaving us unable to use the internet or watch TV during our first day and night. Overall, disappointed with stay in this home due to not being what was advertised/described in writing or in pictures.

Hello Esther. I feel sorry reading your review. I’ve made sure you will have everything you need and it’s unfortunate you chose to focus on the few issues. -Internet stopped working when you arrived. It was beyond my control and these things do happen. I made sure the technician comes ASAP when it was convenient for you. -Bathroom downstairs? I never claimed there is any. You should have asked before as I never marked my house as handicap friendly. It’s not. -Part of the house was converted. There is an additional detached building to this address with a completely separate entrance that is rented. It has nothing to do with this house what so ever. Don’t understand why you would even mention that. -Pictures are not true?! I have no idea what you are talking about. Overall this sour review does not reflect my house and my friendly attention to my guests. Safe travel back home. Daniel
