"We had a great time at the sawmill cottage! Jen was a wonderful host and even gave us a tour of her farm, highly recommend! The cottage was clean and bed was comfortable. Absolutely no cell service or television, and that gave us some time to spend unplugged and play board games and watch dvds together!! Campfire area is awesome as well. Loved it, thanks Jen for the experience and helping us with maps of the area!"

"The cottage is cute and very clean. There is a stream that runs through the property. It was peaceful to watch and listen to it from the porches. We spent time at the house and took day trips to Shenandoah National park and Grand Caverns. I would definitely book this same place again."

"Well kept home, everything you need in the kitchen, close to the Caverns. The host were wonderful, replied to any messages I sent very fast, only thing I would change about this house would be a blind or curtain in kitchen window and covering over the front glass door but that wouldn't stop me from renting this home again if I was to return to the area. Thanks for making my stay a wonderful one!"

"Super quaint little cottage, exactly what we needed. The hosts are incredibly sweet and accommodating. The view is of open farmland with mountians in the distance. The sun sets off the back of the cottage and theres a wonderful view. Really wonderful spot!"

"Had a fun weekend stay with a trip to Shenandoah National Park for a hike and blackberry ice cream pie, visited a ciders in Sperryville, and enjoyed the Possom Store and Art Print shopping near the listing. "My family and I stayed at The Gingerbread House for my brothers graduation from JMU. House is exactly as pictured and described. It’s a perfect and cozy home for family. There were two living areas we could spread out and a perfect little dining room for family meals. The hosts had these cute little bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash set up and plenty of linens. Really lovely stay."

"Had the chance to stay here with my teenage son while we toured the caverns in the local area. The host is honestly one of the best I've encountered, providing perfect directions and being super flexible as we had to make some last-minute changes.
