Room has tile flooring and you could feel the dirt on the floor from when you walked in. The bathroom door doesn't stay open. Toilet is in a separate room from bathroom with with no sink in the room with the toilet. Office was never open for check in or out. For check in I was able to go to the bar but for check out I was unable to find anyone so I threw the keys under the door to the bar.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay here. There is no staff available most of the time. After 11 p.m., they route your calls to the next door hotel who can literally do nothing for you. My next door neighbor blasted loud music until 5 a.m. and there was nothing anyone could do about it except call the police. The female bartender pretends you’re not there when you walk up for help. They don’t have a front desk. The bartender in the back IS your front desk person. I could never get ahold of the front desk because they leave the phone ringing. I also asked the bartender on Sunday to hold some bread I bought from my hometown in a cool area while I went to the beach. He was so happy to do it for me, and told me they’d be safe in the kitchen. When I arrived to pick up my things, ALL of the bread was eaten and even moved to a different container. Do not leave personal items with them. I was disgusted and disappointed in this hotel. It’s not clean, and the outside area smells terrible.

The rooms were decent and updated. The exterior was okay, but the pool was very small and outdated. The parking area was crowded and tight due to sharing half with public parking. Maintenance was loud in the morning and blowing, what I assume was sand off the deck, for like 2 hours at 7am!

Our stay at Coco Beach Hotel in South Padre Island was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and valued. The property was clean, beautifully maintained, and just steps away from the beach — exactly what we needed for a relaxing family vacation. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. Housekeeping did a phenomenal job, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and inviting. Our kids had a blast, and my wife and I truly appreciated the little details that made the stay extra special. From the friendly service to the convenient location, Coco Beach exceeded all expectations. We made some great family memories here and will definitely be back. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers comfort, cleanliness, and top-notch hospitality, Coco Beach Hotel is the one. Highly recommend! — Shawn M.

We didn’t get instructions on parking and we got a parking ticket, clearly didn’t see the sign at the front entrance saying public parking and no overnight and staff didn’t let us know of parking area thought it was the whole area and we needed handicap parking

Great place to stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. A little over priced, definitely not a 5 star hotel. But, excellent location. Short walk to the beach. Room were comfortable, low water pressure and minimal hot water during peak bathing hours. But manageable. No shelving in the restroom. Had to keep toiletries on the kitchen stove. That was inconvenient. Cant forget the beach bar, nice comfortable and convenient. My only complaint about it is, my tab was charged a 23% large party gratuity and there was only myself and my hubby. Parking is very limited. You get a parking pass but it doesn't secure you a spot. Luckily pretty much everything is in walking distance and we didn't have to drive all weekend. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

Great location! Right on the beach and they have a bar! However, the actual facility was dirty. Towels and linens had stains and had an odor. The outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach wasn’t working, so we tracked all the sand into the room floor and shower. There was no housekeeping, so room stayed sandy for 3 days. There were also a few baby roaches in the room and big ones outside in walkway and stairs.

Very dirty and overly priced hotel for what it came for. DO NOT GO BASED OFF OF EXPEDIA PICTURES. There was bed bugs, roaches and other bugs all over the room.

Location is awesome ! Having the beach access right down stairs, beach front bar with DJ , volleyball courts and very convenient rental beach chairs/umbrellas is what got me excited about this weekend getaway! Unfortunately the office staff is hard to get a hold of since it says office is open but is locked, had to ask the bar staff for checking in and checking out. No phone in the room to contact front desk , room had sand on the floor when we arrived , the bathrooms door knob was loose, toilet paper holder was loose from the wall etc . The hotel is good just need some renovations !
