“View is ok-main reason to stay here is the history. Great pictures on the walls. Bathroom has been very well remodeled to a high standard. Expected creaky floors add to the charm. Nice restaurant with good food although my medium rare steak came out medium well. Would be helpful for them to better inform re:parking. (Across the street at the rear; one small area in the front to pull into for check in-not even noticed until the next day!)”

“There are about 30 steps from the off street parking space to the Treetops deck, but we knew that going in. One arrives at a spacious deck with a fantastic view of the Bay of Islands with Russell off in the distance - hence the elevation. It was a bit too cool to dine on the deck (there is a bbq) but at the end of each day exploring it was lovely to sit with a glass of wine on the deck, watching the light fade. Treetops is just enough off the main roads that traffic noise was never an issue,...

“My partner and I enjoyed this quiet and romantic spot. The views were spectacular and could be seen right from your room! The shower was great. The hosts warm and welcoming. The private hot tub though is really what puts this place over the top. Highly recommend! ”
