“This place is an oasis in the rain forest! Beautiful grounds and the staff and owner were the best! Water taxis and walking is how you get around. Ton's of wildlife and a great experience! I would call it "rustic elegance". Just one item that may bother others is there is no climate control in the rooms. “We discovered that we LOVE Casa Marbella, one of the highlights of our visit to Costa Rica this time! Family owned and run, one of the oldest hotels in Tortugero, the Casa Marbella staff provides friendly, expert, and excellent customer service (boat taxi pick up at the airport, guided tours by boat and in the preserve, etc.) The hotel is small, right on the river, and quiet. “The Cabinas is close to the beach with shower at entrance so you can wash feet or body before getting to your room. “Lovely little place five minutes walk from the port. Great air con and nice to share the facilities next door with a great little pool and lovely breakfast. All the staff were great.
