“My family, four generations shared your cottage and had a wonderful time. After sight-seeing during the day, we sat outside grilling and enjoying the view everyday. The house is close to a park for swimming, the peddle-boat and kayaks were used and enjoyed. It was a very peaceful place. On a separate note, my family was surprised to find everything that we needed; dishes, pots and pans, extra bedding, a charcoal grill, even coffee!”

Kitchen spices seemed a little old and pepper was not provided. Water pump doesnt keep up with a long shower and my teen-age daughter was taking a shower when the water stopped suddenly. “This little cottage is very rustic. Location is close to everything in Tawas. Had everything we needed only dowside was the stove had 2 burners we couldn't get to operate and the hot water wasn't constant and had a couple of cold showers. The views are just as posted it is the first cabin off the road so there is absolutely No breeze! It can get very warm. But we had a blast played board games at night and theres a little stereo in the corner we also brought CD's. Had a campfire saw about 12...

“We had a fantastic time, with so much to do outdoors, our 5 boys had no problem falling asleep completely exhausted at the end of the day. It’s a mix between “Glamping” and “camping” the cabin was super cute. Has a full fridge and microwave, with an outdoor grill. There’s no toilets or running water in the cabin, but the main lodge has showers and toilets and a full kitchen to use, and the cabin is like 50 feet from it. We had a blast and the kids have asked to come back here every year from now...

“We had a wonderful stay. The place was just as described and the location was absolutely perfect for our paddle boarding and fishing weekend. The host was helpful and gave a great overview. It was also really nice to have a place with enough parking that we could have our paddle boarding trailer there during our stay.”

“You might want to do more research before you book here. FYI this cabin does not have a bathroom. It is situated on an old Boy Scout Camp, and the bathroom facility is in the main lodge of the camp. There is a cabin within just a couple feet of this one, so there isn’t any privacy. The manager was kind, and since our stay did not match the description of the property, he did work with us to make it right.”
