OVERVIEW
The Indian Heritage Centre, managed by the National Heritage Board, showcases the history and culture of the Indian and South Asian communities in Southeast Asia. Located at 5 Campbell Lane, it was opened by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 7 May 2015. The Centre offers exhibitions, programmes, and activities all year round.
The Building
This four-storey building blends traditional Indian and modern architecture. Inspired by the Indian stepwell (baoli), it features a unique shimmering façade that looks like a “shining jewel” by day and a “glowing lantern” at night. The Centre includes five galleries, a museum shop, and activity spaces.
