Coffee in Antioquia originates from the municipality of Fredonia, located 1.5 hours from Medellin. The coffee landscape of Antioquia was born in the southwest, as well as in this municipality. Fredonia's history is also closely linked to the local coal mine and the Antioquian railroad.
