What you can expect

Join us for the adventure of a lifetime as we explore Kakadu National Park! Departing from tropical Darwin, we’ll journey through lush floodplains towards Kakadu, a UNESCO World Heritage site covering over 20,000 square kilometres. This incredible park is home to rich biodiversity, ancient Aboriginal rock art, and stunning landscapes—an unforgettable day awaits!

Our adventure begins with a choice of two exciting activities:

  • Jumping Croc Cruise on the Adelaide River, where you'll get up close to Saltwater Crocodiles as they leap out of the water. This thrilling experience offers amazing views of these ancient reptiles in their natural habitat.
  • Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, an important site for the Limilngan-Wulna people. Explore the area’s wildlife, including water pythons and bird species like magpie geese and white-bellied sea eagles, and spot Saltwater Crocodiles in the wild.

Next, we’ll stop at the Corroboree Park Tavern to support the local community and enjoy a delicious lunch or snacks. From there, we’ll visit the Bowali Visitor Centre to immerse yourself in the rich Aboriginal culture and history of Kakadu, learning about the connection between the land and its traditional owners.

We then head to Cahills Crossing, the only road access point between Arnhem Land and Kakadu, famous for its tidal waters and abundant wildlife. Be ready to spot crocodiles and other animals along the crossing. Please note: Access to Cahills Crossing depends on seasonality and weather conditions.

Our journey continues to Ubirr Rock, home to some of the world’s most well-preserved rock art galleries. Walk through ancient paintings dating back thousands of years and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from the top. If Ubirr is inaccessible, we may visit Nourlangie Rock, another significant site with rock shelters and Aboriginal art, as well as an excellent spot for birdwatching.

After a day filled with wildlife, history, and stunning landscapes, we’ll return to Darwin and drop you off at your accommodation. Reflect on the memories made in one of Australia’s most spectacular regions!
