What you can expect

join our expert guides as we delve into the heart of the Serengeti during this unique time of year when thousands of wildebeest give birth to their young. Experience the thrill of witnessing newborn calves taking their first steps, as predators lurk nearby, creating a dramatic cycle of life and survival. Immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring landscapes and capture incredible photographs of the wildebeest herds on their epic journey. This safari is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the miracle of life and the raw power of nature.

Day 1 - 2: Game drive in Southern Part of Serengeti (Ndutu)
After breakfast you will find your driver guide ready to pick you up and start your safari heading to Ndutu, situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and a part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. It is from December to March where the herds congregate on the short grass plains and estimated 500000 calves are born and a number of predators eager prey on these vulnerable newborns. Because of fresh grasses the herds spend most of the time enjoying the abundant grazing. Lake Ndutu is alkaline lake but its water is still drinkable and consumed by a wide array of local wildlife. You will see a wide range of wildlife that come around to drink and for cooling off their bodies. Ndutu is also home to elephants, leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, wildcat and birds. After the full time game drive you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Ndutu - Ngorongoro highlands
After breakfast we take off on half day drive in this part. The calving season make this area more alive with wildlife activity. Ndutu forms a part of the route for the annual migration of more than 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebra, antelope and gazelle. During the dry season Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek waterholes offer plenty of wildlife game. Later after we say bye to Ndutu and depart toward Ngorongoro conservancy. Arriving there you will have a foretaste of what is waiting for you on the following day. If interest you can add a walk on crater rim before proceeding to your lodge for overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
Morning breakfast will be served early at your place, later we will descend into the famous crater floor for the chasing of big five and other animals, wildebeest, gazelle, reedbuck, and many others, along with about 500 bird species. Enjoy the time along the hippo lake. The lunch will be served at the picnic area.

Later we ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha, then Drop off at the airport for your departure. You may opt to add a night in Arusha or some days in Zanzibar (extra charges will apply).
