Some nights you look at the sky. Tonight, you talk with it. The Roofless AI Experience is the next chapter of The Roofless Experience, our premium small-group stargazing tour in San Pedro de Atacama. We kept everything travelers love and added something new: you can ask the universe your own questions and get the answer on the spot.

Your guide is Jhonatan, an astrotourism specialist and official ACEAP 2026 Ambassador, together with our team. He welcomes you, aims the telescopes and makes sure no one is left without an answer or a turn at the eyepiece. Travelers describe him as passionate, patient and warm.

Meet Vera, our virtual guide
While the motorized telescopes point to each object, Vera tells you what you are seeing. Then she hands you the microphone: ask anything. How far away is Saturn? Why do stars twinkle? On shared tours Vera answers in English and adjusts to your level, from your very first time at a telescope to advanced questions. Her answers come from an astronomy knowledge base selected and reviewed by our team. The AI does not replace the guide, it amplifies him: Vera feeds each person's curiosity; Jhonatan brings the warmth, the expertise and the final moment under the stars.

What makes this night special:

• Two 16” telescopes for deep-sky viewing: galaxies, nebulae, star clusters and planets.
• We only go out with under 50% lunar illumination, for truly dark skies.
• Maximum 12 guests, so you have time to look without rushing.
• Thermal comfort: blankets, Cabernet Sauvignon, hot chocolate or tea, and snacks.
• A professional photo of you under the desert sky, plus tips to shoot the stars with your phone.
• Round-trip transfer from your lodging in San Pedro (urban area).

Good to know

• Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours including pickup and drop-off.
• Minimum age: 10, because of the late hour and the cold. Families with younger children can book our private tour.
• No astronomy knowledge needed. Just bring warm clothes and your curiosity.
