This amazing excursion covers Tashkent's main attractions. Along with its history, we will discuss Uzbek customs and traditions, politics and the economy, social life, and many other subjects. We will also have a chance to taste national and street food, and I will show you the backstreets of Chorsu Bazaar, where you will see only locals.
Places to Visit:
• Hazrati Imam square - where we keep the world's oldest Qur'an. People visit there from all over the world. Also, we will visit to grand mosque of the old part of Tashkent and then to Barak-khan Madrasa.
• Chorsu Bazar - It's a grand and central bazar of the capital. We will explore the food court, bakery, butchery, dried fruit section and many more. You can even participate in baking some local breads.
• We'll visit the famous Tashkent Metro to see some of its most beautiful stations.
• Amir Temur square and city skyline view from iconic Hotel Uzbekistan’s top floor
• Tashkent TV tower (from outside)
• For the lunch I always recommend people to go “Central Asian Plov Center” to try the king of Uzbek cuisine - Plov. The good thing about this place is not only the food; you can also see the whole process with your own eyes. The chefs cook plov there in many pots, and you can walk around the huge kitchen while taking wonderful pictures and videos. Eating plov there will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
During the tour we will be walking around 3 km (2 miles) and will use public transports (Subway) and a taxi (2 times). It's very cheap in Tashkent. Our version of Uber here is “Yandex GO”. It's door to door taxi service.
I’ve personally designed this tour to help you explore the hidden corners of Tashkent in a way no guidebook ever could. Your day will be filled with fascinating stories, cultural insights, and experiences that bring the city to life.
The itinerary is flexible — we can adjust it based on your interests by adding or skipping certain sights (such as the Museum of Applied Arts or Broadway Street etc).
If you’re curious about local life and want a true insider’s perspective, join me and discover the real Tashkent!
