What you can expect
Take the chance to explore the most representative attractions of Kefalonia. We will make our first stop at Drogarati cave and observe the amazing stalactites and stalagmites that give this place the feel of cathedral. We will also visit Sami, a beautiful coastal town.
Next we will explore the cave of the nymphs the famous Melissani Lake. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the turquoise waters as the sun shines into the cave. Coming up is Karavomilos Lake, is one of Kefalonia’s most charming spots. On our way we will head to the tranquil and colorful village of Agia Effimia and a stop over the dazzling Myrtos beach to take photos. Last but not least, lies the tiny yet enhancing village of Assos, a hidden, artistically beautiful place that will be the highlight to end our tour.

Drogarati Cave

The Drogarati Cave in Kefalonia was discovered 300 years ago and opened to the public in 1963. It was discovered when a strong earthquake caused a collapse that revealed the cave's entrance. Drogarati is an impressive cave with remarkable formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Speleologists state that this cave is about 150 million years old and constitutes a rare geological phenomenon. The cave is about 60m deep and has a constant temperature of 18ΊC. The humidity of the cave reaches 90%.
Sami (Pass by)
Sami is a beautiful coastal town with a population of 1000 inhabitants, most of whom are engaged in agriculture and fishing.
Sami hosts one of the island's main ports, receiving ferries from Patra, Astakos, Ithaca and Italy. It is built close to ancient Sami, one of the most important archeological discoveries in Kefalonia. Sami is a perfect destination for your summer holidays in Greece. Melissani Cave
