Begin with a scenic drive into the Julian Alps, where your local guide will share fascinating stories, legends, and insights about the region.

Stop at Lake Bled, Slovenia’s most iconic destination and one of Europe’s top natural wonders. Surrounded by forested slopes and the peaks of the Karavanke range, the lake is famous for its fairytale island and the striking Bled Castle, which dates back to the 11th century, making it the oldest castle in Slovenia.

From the castle’s terrace, enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the lake and its island. Take a short lakeside stroll and even a ride on a traditional wooden boat called a pletna to visit the island and its charming church, where you can ring the wishing bell for good luck.

Before leaving Bled, make a sweet stop for the famous Bled cream cake (kremšnita) — a beloved local dessert that has been delighting visitors since 1953.

Next, venture into the pristine Triglav National Park, home to Slovenia’s highest mountain and its largest protected area. Here lies Lake Bohinj, the deepest and largest permanent lake in Slovenia, formed by glacial activity and nestled at the foot of Mount Vogel. Unlike Bled’s romantic atmosphere, Bohinj offers raw natural beauty, a more peaceful alpine spirit, and a deep connection to local tradition.

Walk along the tranquil lakeshore, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and take in incredible views of the Julian Alps reflected in the crystal-clear water.
