What you can expect

  • Total immersion in the heart of the Grand Canyon du Verdon, between impressive cliffs and turquoise water, as close to the river as possible.

Embark on a day of exploration in the heart of the legendary Verdon Gorge, in the Alpes de Haute Provence, and discover this exceptional canyon in a different way: by packraft.

The route offers an enjoyable white-water descent and takes you through breathtaking scenery. You also enjoy privileged access to wild areas that are only accessible by river, where few people have the chance to go, for an immersive adventure off the usual beaten path.

Throughout the day, you will alternate between walking and paddling to fully explore the canyon.

Starting from the famous Blanc-Martel Trail, the adventure immerses you in a spectacular rocky landscape where dizzying cliffs meet turquoise waters. Between kayaking, dynamic passages, and more peaceful moments to enjoy the landscape, the river naturally sets the pace of your progress.

Packrafting allows access to preserved areas, far from the crowds, where the Verdon reveals all its power and character. An authentic immersion, as close as possible to the water and the rock.

Supervised by a qualified guide who is a specialist in the area, this outing combines safety, technical advice, and enjoyment for a thrill-packed experience.

It's the ideal format to take a step forward and experience the Verdon in a more exclusive way, at the heart of the elements.

    Level 3: Advanced
Reserved for people who are in good physical condition and regularly engage in an endurance activity. This level requires the ability to sustain prolonged effort (up to 6-7 hours), with more challenging routes combining navigation and hiking. The conditions may be more demanding and the environment more isolated. Experience in calm water or the sea is recommended.

    Technical prerequisites:

    • Be able to swim at least 25 meters and be in good physical condition
    • Be comfortable hiking on a variety of trails and carrying a backpack weighing about 10 kg (the 400-meter climb out of the canyon at the end of the day is the most physically demanding part of the day)
    • Paddle with ease and maintain control in class I and II rivers (e.g., the Ardèche or equivalent).

    ⏰ Activity schedule:

    • 8:45 AM: Meeting point at the Samson parking lot, 04120 Rougon
    • 9:15 AM: Approach walk
    • 10:15 AM: Navigation
    • 15:30: Return walk
    • 5:00 PM: Drop-off shuttle to the meeting point

    Bring with you:
    Swimsuit
    Cap or hat
Sneakers with rigid soles (no water shoes)
    Sun cream
At least 1 liter of water per person
Sandwich + snack (e.g. granola bar)
