Begin with a pickup from your hotel in Baku and head to the UNESCO-listed Gobustan Rock Art Reserve. Explore thousands of ancient petroglyphs carved into stone cliffs overlooking the Caspian region. Listen as your guide brings to life the stories of early human settlements, rituals, and survival thousands of years ago.

Next, prepare for an off-road 4x4 adventure across dramatic semi-desert landscapes to reach Azerbaijan’s famous mud volcanoes. Please note that reaching the mud volcanoes requires a mandatory jeep transfer from the UNESCO site, available at an additional cost of 30 AZN per person. With nearly half of the world’s mud volcanoes located in this country, this surreal terrain feels like stepping onto another planet.

Continue the journey with a visit to the elegant Bibi-Heybat Mosque, a symbol of spiritual resilience rebuilt in traditional Islamic architectural style. Nearby, stop at the site of the world’s first industrial oil well, where Azerbaijan’s role in shaping the global energy industry began.

Enjoy a traditional Azerbaijani lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant before heading to the Absheron Peninsula. At the Ateshgah Fire Temple, discover the ancient Zoroastrian worship practices linked to natural gas flames that once burned continuously.

Then witness Yanardag, the “Burning Mountain,” where flames still emerge naturally from the hillside — an extraordinary natural phenomenon that inspired legends for centuries. Before returning to your hotel, enjoy a photo stop at the iconic Heydar Aliyev Center, an architectural masterpiece designed by Zaha Hadid, representing modern Baku’s bold identity.
