Step down into the hull of the Seaworld Explorer and get ready to see amazing sea life through the underwater windows of this semi-submarine. Watch schools of tropical fish and cruise by Aruba's famous World War II shipwreck.
The Seaworld Explorer is a modern semi-submarine underwater observatory. The vessel doesn't submerge, but the large, clear glass windows on its lower deck allow you to watch the sea life on all sides, 5 feet (1.5 m) below the water.
Keep your eyes peeled as your captain steers around a 440-foot (134-m) German freighter that sunk during World War II. The huge ship, the Antilla, is one of the largest wrecks in the Caribbean and is home to a wide variety of vibrant fish that come within inches of the semi-submarine.
Next, head to the Arashi Reef, where you have an opportunity to explore unique coral and other types of marine life. As you cruise back to shore, look out for the creatures you just learned about along your journey.
*Please be advised that cruise passengers should book tours and excursions directly with the cruise line.
