For nearly 30 years, the Blue Man Group has been bringing their unique brand of performance art to stages across the globe. Bred out of a collaboration by friends Chris Wink, Matt Goldman, and Phil Stanton, the company now consists of many members who have gone on to create permanent shows in cities such as New York, Boston, Chicago, and Las Vegas. While each production is different, you’re guaranteed to be amazed by 3 blue, bald men who combine music, comedy, and special effects into one mind-blowing performance. Grab tickets to see the Blue Man Group at one of their resident theaters or on their worldwide tour, and join the millions of the people who have discovered what this weird and wonderful group is all about.
The Blue Man Group was founded in 1988, when Wink, Goldman, and Stanton—concealing their identities in blue masks—began grabbing attention with what were then called “creative disturbances” on the streets of NYC. Within a few years, they were performing small shows in downtown clubs, which later grew into a permanent show at the Astor Place Theatre, where the group still performs to this day. With a rapidly growing fan base, the company began training other men in the art of the Blue Man and added shows at the Charles Playhouse in Boston, the Briar Street Theatre in Chicago, the Blue Man Group Theatre in Orlando, and at various other venues across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. In 2017, the company was bought by Cirque du Soleil, who announced they would expand the concept of the productions even further. You can experience all the music, laughter, and surprises for yourself with tickets for the worldwide or any of the resident shows, including at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.
