With a career spanning more than 20 years and over 150 number 1 hits across all of the Billboard charts, Spanish-born singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias is widely regarded as the King of Latin Pop. Since bursting onto the music scene in 1995, Iglesias has released 10 studio albums and sold more than 170 million records, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. His electric dance hits and heartfelt ballads have earned him more than 200 awards, including a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album for his self-titled debut album. Considered the top male dance club artist of all time, Enrique Iglesias always brings the heat, and his live shows continue to sell out tickets all across the world.
Born in Madrid to Spanish singer Julio Iglesias, Enrique grew up around music and always knew he wanted to pursue that as a career. But he didn’t want his father’s fame to help him through the industry, and he borrowed money from the family nanny to record his first demo. Working with his father’s former publicist, the 2 promoted the songs under the stage name Enrique Martinez, using the backstory of being an up-and-coming singer from Guatemala. He quickly signed a record deal and dropped out of college to record his debut album, but this time using the name Iglesias. Hit songs such as “Si Tu Te Vas” and “Por Amarte” flew up the Hot Latin Tracks chart, and within 2 years, Enrique was selling out tickets to shows in 16 countries. Iglesias has since gone on to tour the world 13 different times, co-headlining with other superstars like Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez. In 2018, the singer hits the road again in Europe and South America to cities such as Munich, Oslo, Prague, and Buenos Aires.Back to top
