Kid Rock Ticket Information

Robert Ritchie—more commonly known as Kid Rock—is a musician whose unique blend of rock, hip hop, and country has been credited with being instrumental in the development of the genre known as country rap. Over his nearly 30-year-long career, Kid Rock has overseen his own production on 9 of his 11 studio albums and has also taught himself how to play every instrument in his backing band. After shifting a bit away from hip hop, he saw his greatest success in the early 2000s. He took home the American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist in both 2001 and 2003. Kid Rock’s concerts have become known for their over-the-top staging and pyrotechnics, and fans rush to get tickets to see the artist perform live.

Kid Rock History & Tours

Kid Rock’s career began as a member of the Detroit-based hip hop group The Beast Crew in the late 1980s. He soon began opening for local shows, which led him to meet producer Mike E. Clark. In 1988, Clark produced a demo with Kid Rock that ultimately led to offers from 6 major record labels. In 1990, Kid Rock released his debut album, Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast, which made him one of the biggest rap names in Detroit at that time. His career really took off in 1998 with the release of his fourth studio album, Devil Without a Cause. The breakthrough hit single “Bawitdaba” led to appearances on MTV and ultimately a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist. He has since released a total of 11 albums with a variety of sounds. Along with rock, rap, hip hop, and country, his style has also included elements of heavy metal, Southern rock, blues, funk, and soul. Today, his music has become more predominantly country and also described as heartland rock. In 2018, you can catch this eclectic artist as he performs with Ted Nugent, Uncle Kracker, and at the Willamette Country Music Festival in Brownsville, Oregon.
