History of the Predators

Founded in 1998 as an expansion franchise, the Nashville Predators took a bit of time to get going, but they made the playoffs for the first time in the 2000–01 season. While unsuccessful, the team was able to show Nashville that they were ready for the big stage. After some decent years with playoff appearances and smart roster moves, the team finally made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in the 2016–17 season. They were the lowest-ranked team in the conference but still swept the first-ranked Blackhawks in the first round on their way to a heartbreaking loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the championship series.

This Season’s Nashville Predators

The Nashville Predators will begin their NHL season by participating in the 2022 NHL Global Series in Prague, Czech Republic, taking on the San Jose Sharks at the O2 Arena on October 7-8. The 2022–23 Nashville Predators season will be the 25th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on June 25, 1997.
