Book with Confidence: Korean Air’s flexibility on reissuing tickets

To allow flexibility for your travels, Korean Air is waiving reissue fees for tickets purchased between now and December 31, 2020. If you change your reservation after purchasing a new ticket, you will be exempted from the reissue fee once.

1. Applicable Tickets

  • Hold on to your tickets – for two years
  • Unlimited changes – date or destination
  • Refund your ticket

2. Applicable to Reissued Tickets

  • Ticket must be reissued : Within the validity of the original ticket
  • New travel date must depart : Within the validity of the original ticket
  • If you are notified that your reservation is subject to a fee, you can proceed with the changes and the reissue fee will be waived automatically. Please note that this is only reissued once without fees.

Q1) Is this waiver applicable to all fares and classes?

A1) Yes, the waiver applies to all Korean Air fares and booking classes purchased on Expedia’s website (except bonus tickets). However, the ticket must be a Korean Air marketed flight.


Q2) How many times can I reissue my ticket with no fee?

A2) Reissue fees can be exempted only once. Additional changes will be subject to a fee according to the ticket regulations.


Q3) Is the difference in fares also exempt?

A3) The difference in amount resulting from changes, such as departure date, destination, season, and weekend, will still be charged or refunded according to Korean Air’s ticket purchase policy.


Q4) What happens if I get a refund?

A4) A refund fee is charged in accordance with Korean Air’s ticket purchase policy.


Q5) How can I make a change to my reservation and have the reissue waiver applied?

A5) If you need to change your reservation, go to “My Trips”, and select “Change Flight”. If you are notified that your reservation is subject to a fee, you can proceed with the changes and the reissue fee will be waived automatically.
