The property itself is not bad, I booked a room for two of my clients, it is a good place, the lady owner was respectful and courteous. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about her husband, and this completely ruined our experience. I've traveled the beautiful Ecuador, I have rarely encountered such an arrogant and disrespectful attitude from someone working in hospitality. We had a booking issue—something that could have easily been discussed and resolved professionally. Instead, this man approached me, speaking aggressively, and acting as though I had no right to address him as an equal. His attitude was absolutely unbelievable. He seemed to expect submission and special deference simply because of who he believes he is. Hospitality is about respect, communication, and treating guests with dignity—not intimidation, yelling, or trying to establish some imaginary level of superiority. I have spent my life traveling and working in tourism, and I know the difference between a misunderstanding and completely unacceptable behavior. This was not simply poor customer service; it was an unnecessarily hostile and humiliating confrontation. Ecuador is a magnificent country filled with warm, kind, and respectful people. Sadly, this was by far one of the most unpleasant personal encounters I have experienced here. The hotel itself may be acceptable, but no property is worth being treated this way. Based entirely on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. M
