This is an older hotel in Quito. We stayed here for a conference. The facilities are old and should be updated, but the staff does everything possible to make up for it. Everyone was extremely helpful and the concierge. Many terrific suggestions that really changed our visit. We appreciate the effort that everyone put in to help our stay. The concierge and the front desk were extremely hospitable. The restaurant on the first floor had very good options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Thank you again.

This is an older hotel in Quito. We stayed here for a conference. The facilities are old and should be updated, but the staff does everything possible to make up for it. We arrived late at night, actually it was more like early morning. Rio Amazonas is one of the few hotels that will let you check in that late. Check in was swift and we got a broom with a magnificent view over the city and Cotopaxi. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom brand new and beautiful. Breakfast is fabulous and the staff is very friendly. Not sure about the neighborhood yet, but it looks fine.
