The elevator sounded like it was going to break. Almost all the ice machines were out of order. The entire hotel had no hot water one morning.

It's understandable that a hotel in Alaska might be a great deal behind on updates; even the capital is pretty remote, and most people are just staying a night or two to catch their cruise. So, I can forgive the "out of date" feeling of things. But the room was not particularly clean. There was visible dirt on a number of surfaces and fixtures, the sink smelled like it needed the pipe flushed out, a number of other pieces of furniture had a bit of an odor, coffee machine might never have been cleaned. The toilet ran constantly, but shutting the door did enough to muffle the sound. Airport shuttle was efficient and appreciated, wifi was reliable for work, location is very close to the local bus if you want to save a significant amount vs. Uber getting to and from Downtown Juneau. Can't speak to the quality of the "grab and go" breakfast as I didn't partake, but looked fine for those who might like that sort of thing. That said, the staff are incredibly lovely people, especially the front desk. They made a very basic accommodation feel pleasant and warm.
