This historic hotel should compare to resorts such as the Greenbrier, the Homestead, the Broadmoor in customer service. My only complaint in that regard was the lack of staff upon initial arrival at the front door. I am used to never being allowed to touch my luggage until a porter has delivered it to my room. I'm used to not having to open my own car door when I arrive. I'm used to a doorman when I enter the lobby. None of that happened here and I think it should. That being said, I loved the hotel and I'm sure we'll stay again. I loved the history, including the haunted history. I loved cocktails on the sweeping veranda overlooking Mount Washington. Our room was small by today's standards but superb in every other way. The complimentary shuttle service to "off campus" resort properties and amenities was great. I believe this hotel will be on my calendar next summer!

Breakfast was very good. Had dinner at the restaurant & it was excellent

I had a rough travel day. Checked in after midnight. The room was comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was great.

Picking hair clumps off stone shower walls was bad. No elevator working for a long time (not mentioned in any ads). Pure cold continental breakfast. Waffles do NOT count as hot food. No restaurant or bar and "maybe October." You should do better with your description of amenities and building condition given your location and prices.

Here's the thing about the Coolidge. Its old. They don't hide that. However, the rooms are clean, the staff is nice, you can walk to dinner and sweet art galleries. I was very happy with my stay. If you like sterile hotels this isn't the place for you. If you like hotels with some character and fantastic staff definitely give it a try!
