Tancah Scuba Diving Vacations

The reception desk closed at 5 pm which is so early on and since there isn’t any transportation it was tough to coordinate anything because other than the receptionist nobody spoke English and she left after 5. Maybe it was off season but the whole place was uncharacteristically empty.

It was heartbreaking to see that the beach was a total disaster. Sargassum, sandbags, smelly water made it impossible to walk the beach, let alone get in and swim. We had to hang out in the pool or go to Maroma Beach, which is a part of their package. The restaurant food was average, the breakfast and lunch buffet was terrible. They had a Mexican Fiesta Night and I got sick from the food and lost half of a day being in bed and close to the bathroom. The concierge pushed their "breakfast and property tour" and offered a "free" massage if we went along to see what El Dorado has to offer. I cancelled and said I'd pay for my own massage and the concierge was obviously upset with me and not nice after that. His manager also approached us as we were waiting in the lobby. The rooms are nice, the pool is awesome, the wait staff was great, it was a nice enough place but we will never go back.

The greeting when we arrived was great. The service providers were all very helpful, and gave a greeting by name every time they saw me. They were eager to make sure that I had what ever I needed. Sergio, The two Cristians were very helpful to me the entire stay. Cristian in the office was a great help planning things to do, and arranging transportation. The room was in a great location on the beach, just steps away from the water. The hotel is positioned well in the Tulum hotel zone, walking distance to great restaurants, coffee-Starbuck :), ice cream parlors, bars/restaurants like Ziggy's beach club and others. I would definately return, and have already recommended it to a friend.

I really liked this hotel and the comfort it provides is unmatched. Every one of the staff members is really attentive and nice. The only reason I’m giving it 4 starts instead of 5 is the food. Out of all the restaurants around this hotel, just one met my expectations.

We spent 3 nights there. Staff are extremely helpful and nice. Hotel atmosphere is amazing. Rooms are very stunning! Location is good and in the main hotels road. It is 15 min drive to Tulum city centre. Is good for chill-time and not especial activity like party.

This hotel is gorgeous! The beach & view were stunning & lots going on in the area. Our room couldn’t have been better. I have stayed all over the world & have never had a friendlier or more accommodating staff. They went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. They even helped us with transportation & outside excursions. Luis at the front desk was especially helpful & always had a smile! The food was great too.. breakfast, dinner, margaritas… everything! I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was here. I just wish we could have stayed longer.
