Testament to how important the region has become, Casablanca has even been compared to the legendary Napa and Sonoma valleys of California. Although the whites clearly take precedence, some cool climate reds also do well in the higher sections of the valley; as Pinot Noir and Syrah.

ViƱa Casas del Bosque was selected, once again, among the most important vineyards in the world to visit, according to the new ranking of the 50 Best Vineyards in the World 2022, which is configured with similar rules to other lists such as the 50 best restaurants of the world. World's Best Vineyards is an academy with nearly 500 experts from the world of wine and wine tourism, where they selected a list of the 50 best vineyards from different parts of the world to visit. The aim of this prestigious list is to raise the profile of wine tourism and encourage travelers to enjoy wine-related experiences around the globe. You can order a la carte and guests will be responsible of paying their lunch.

Our last stop will be at Matetic winery, located in the Rosario Valley, situated between the coastal valleys of Casablanca and San Antonio. The visit begins at the Emporio ViƱa Matetic. Here, visitors will be cordially welcomed by our bilingual guide, and will be invited to discover the Rosario Valley, learning about the winemaking process, our terroir, and our organic and biodynamic agriculture. The visit finishes with a tasting of 4 of our wines; two glasses of premium Corralillo wines and two glasses of ultra premium EQ wine in our Emporio, where visitors can buy their favorite wines, browse gourmet products, and purchase souvenirs and locally made handicrafts. Matetic wines are the fruit of the distinctive terroir of the Rosario Valley: old granitic soils, together with the pronounced costal influence from the Pacific Ocean, are determining factors in the production of wines with a sense of place, and true to their origin.
