What you can expect

Chiang Rai is ideally situated for discovering Thailand’s Golden Triangle, so three days in the city give you ample time to immerse yourself in local culture and cuisine, and explore the northern highlands.

Day 1: Arrival in Chiang Rai

Upon arrival, pick up from airport and transfer to hotel. Free time for relaxing or just strolling around in the city. Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 2: Chiang Rai city (B)

Morning, visit WatPhra Kaew and Wat Phra Singhthen short drive to Black House which is the unique creation of national artist, Thawan Duchanee.

Afternoon, take a boat cruise on Mae Kok river from Chiang Rai to Karen village where you can watch elephants or feed them. Transfer back to Chiang Rai. Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 3: Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle - Departure (B)

Morning drive to visit Chiang Saen the ancient city located on the Khong River Bank. After that, visit to Opium museum where show about the opium’s history in the past in Thailand. Taking aboat trip along Mekong Kong River to see Thailand, Burma & Laos meet at the Golden Triangle before transferring back to Chiang Rai for your flight to next destinations.
