Description

Escape the bustle of Hanoi and discover the charms of Sa Pa on this 3-day tour. Encounter local villages and explore a beautiful region. This city is nestled in the Hoang Lien Son hills and surrounded by verdant valleys.

Day 1
As you arrive in Sa Pa, see the bright costumes of the Hmong, Dao, and Tay people that live in the area. Following a traditional lunch, head down into the valley to Cat Cat Village. Your knowledgeable guide shows you aspects of daily life before a short trek to a nearby waterfall to see a hydraulic power station that was installed by the French during the colonial era.

Day 2
Embark on a 4-hour trek through scenic rice terraces to the village of Lao Chai that provides an excellent vantage point to marvel at the spectacular Hoang Lien Son Mountains. Complete your walk in the village of Tan Van. After the bus trip back to Sa Pa, take some free time to explore the city on your own.

Day 3
By the time you arrive at Bac Ha, one of the region's most iconic markets is in full-swing. The Flower Hmong stallholders sell a wide array of colorful textiles, exotic produce, and much more. Refresh yourself with a tasty lunch at a local restaurant before a short trek to the grand Hoang A Tuong Palace. Admire the striking architecture before your return trip to Hanoi.

My trip to Sapa has not been as described. The pickup time was 8:00, however, they arrived at 6:30. They left me in Hanoi. After 3 hours of the hotel explaining to the tour agent they 4 emails they sent to me said 8:00am they finally sent someone to get me and put me on the bus. However, that meant I missed all the activities of the first day. Upon arrival, I was told I would be staying in a home stay and not a hotel. Again, I had to argue and show that my itinerary said hotel. On the second day, I did visit one village. However, on the 3rd day, the itinerary says I will visit Bac Ha Market and Hoang A Tuong Palace. However, instead, he sent me on a walk through the town with a "guide." This is something I can do myself. The point of this tour was to see many things outside of the town of Sa Pa. However, I only did one hike. I am requesting a full refund from this vendor. I have tried to contact the person who sent me an email, however, he will not take my calls. I am now

We had thick cloud and the trekking was very muddy in places. We were advised by the local guides that August was the best month to visit Sa Pa.
