Description

Over 3 days, explore the breathtaking scenery of Yosemite National Park and sleep under the stars. Embark on a journey with your knowledgeable guide and admire towering trees, cascading waterfalls, and cliffs rising 3,000 feet (914 m) from the valley floor.

Day 1: Get an early start and meet your guide downtown. Your adventure begins as you leave the hustle and bustle of San Francisco and head east toward the cascading waterfalls and granite cliffs of Yosemite National Park.

Once you reach the renowned park, hike through a grove of giant sequoias, refuel with a picnic lunch, and continue down to one of the most famous areas of Yosemite for a view of the valley toward El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Fall. After some free time, follow your guide to the campsite and set up your tent.

Day 2: Wake up early among the natural wonders before a day of hiking, sightseeing, and exploring. Start the day by preparing breakfast and packing a picnic lunch. Then discover the beauty of Yosemite's high country at May Lake and picturesque Mount Hoffman. Take in the 360-degree view of the stunning mountain landscape before you unwind and relax back at camp with dinner by the warmth of a crackling campfire.

Day 3: On your last day, explore Yosemite at your leisure and opt to go for another hike, rent a bike, or take a dip in the cool waters of the deep green Merced River. After your outdoor adventure, head back to San Francisco and return to the Hilton at approximately 9 PM.

Campsite wasn’t as basic as we expected. There were toilets and showers (basic but useable). Had use of pool in lodge next door. Food supplied was pretty good, we all had to help out clear up, wash up etc. Tents were easy to put up and a good size. Sleeping mats were supplied so that made it more comfortable, I would suggest taking a blow up pillow as we did. There was a lot of time spent in minivan but it was comfortable. Found the hiking hard going as the leader was too fast and we got left behind, the route taken on day 2 was too strenuous (almost rock climbing) and we gave up and headed back so ended up sitting around for 2 hours. The scenery was amazing and loved the sight seeing. We were very lucky with the weather, not sure I’d have enjoyed it as much if it was cold and wet. The last day in the valley was great as we had loads of options for hikes many of them flat or at least paved pathways, bike hire also available. Overall we really enjoyed it. Once in a lifetime trip.

Amazing!! I really lucked out on my trip, amazing guide (Eric), and such an amazing group, (Steph, Al, Mike, and Nic). Eric's first evening meal was the perfect start to our adventure, then day 2 we ventured out to half Dom, and what a hike that was, but my amazing guide and group was supporting all the way... Just a brief summary of an amazing trip with a great company :-)
