What you can expect

Embark on a breathtaking 3-day journey from Adelaide to Melbourne, travelling through the heart of regional Victoria via the Grampians and the world-famous Great Ocean Road. This one-way adventure is perfect for travellers seeking iconic Australian landscapes, wildlife encounters, and unforgettable coastal views.

Day 1: Adelaide to the Grampians
Departing Adelaide, we journey through the Adelaide Hills and into regional Victoria. As we cross the border, enjoy scenic views of Pink Lake (seasonal) before entering the vast Western Plains. By afternoon, we’ll arrive in the Grampians National Park, renowned for its dramatic mountain ranges and Indigenous heritage. Take in panoramic vistas at Reeds Lookout and The Balconies, then stretch your legs on a walk to the base of the magnificent MacKenzie Falls. We finish the day in Halls Gap, a charming township nestled in the heart of the park, where kangaroos and cockatoos roam freely.

Day 2: Grampians to the Great Ocean Road
Wake to the sound of native birds before hiking to the famous Pinnacle lookout for incredible views of the rugged Grampians landscape. Then it’s time to head south toward the coast, stopping at the Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve—an extinct volcano and nature haven rich in Aboriginal culture and teeming with wildlife such as emus and koalas. Spend the evening in the vibrant coastal town of Warrnambool and relax over a shared dinner with the group.

Day 3: Great Ocean Road to Melbourne
The final leg of the tour begins with coastal views and a hearty breakfast before exploring the Shipwreck Coast. Visit the iconic 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and London Bridge, where dramatic cliffs meet crashing waves. Enjoy a guided walk through the lush Great Otway National Park, then head to Apollo Bay for lunch in this laid-back surf town. Continue along the scenic Great Ocean Road, stopping at Memorial Arch and several beautiful beaches before arriving in Melbourne in the early evening.

This small-group adventure is ideal for travellers looking to experience southern Australia’s diverse beauty—from inland mountain ranges to rugged coastlines. It’s a seamless and scenic alternative to flying, offering memorable stops, local insights, and the chance to make lasting connections along the way
