What you can expect
Take a journey of discovery at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Discover sunny Southern California and Baja, the frigid waters of the Northern Pacific, and the colorful reefs of the Tropical Pacific. Come face-to-face with the ocean’s ultimate predators in Shark Lagoon, hand-feed colorful lorikeet birds, and watch our Magellanic Penguins play. NOW OPEN -Coral Reefs: Nature’s Underwater Cities. Explore the beauty and diversity of coral reefs and their animal residents in the Aquarium’s newly reimagined Tropical Pacific Gallery and experience a stunning virtual dive Pacific Visions. Learn about coral reefs, the threats they face, and what you can do to help save them. And meet some new residents, like a green sea turtle, flashlight fish, and red-footed booby, and see some old friends in a whole new light.
Keeping our guests and staff safe is our top priority. We are limiting the number of visitors, requiring advance timed reservations, and managing traffic flow to ensure social distancing, requiring face coverings and temperature checks, providing numerous hand-sanitizing stations, and much more. Visit http://www.aquariumofpacific.org/visit/aquarium_safety for details.
Your admission to the Aquarium of the Pacific provides you with access to the aquarium's premier exhibits. Begin by heading to Southern California and Baja, where you'll walk through a tunnel with Seals and Sea Lions swimming around you to say hello.
Next, check out Shark Lagoon with more than 150 sharks. See bamboo sharks flicker past in the touch pools or head to the underwater displays where you can fall head over heels for the ocean's top predators.
Cap off your experience with a look at the aquarium's penguins, jelly fish, clownfish, and sea turtles or step into the Lorikeet Forest. Colorful lorikeets are waiting for the perfect opportunity to rest on your arm and take a sip of nectar (available for purchase as you enter the exhibit).
