① Sensoji Temple (3PM - 4PM)
Sensoji Temple of the Holy Kannon sect is a staple of sightseeing in Tokyo.
Learn about the history of the temple and area with our experienced guide.
Stroll along Nakamise-dori, which is lined with souvenir shops and local eateries and restaurants.
② Riverside Walk and Photo Opportunities
Walk along the Sumida River from Sensoji Temple (where you can also spot Tokyo Skytree, the highest observation tower in Japan), soaking in the contrast between old Edo vs modern Tokyo. There are ample photo opportunities around this area especially on a lovely sunny day.
Stop by at Tokyo Riverside Distillery to check out the craft gin brand Ethical Spirits, before moving on to our next destination.
② Guided Sake Tasting Session (4:30PM - 5:30PM)
Subject to date and shop availability, we will offer a guided sake tasting session at either one of the below spots:
a) Konohanano Sake Brewery, where you can discover craft Sake at this stylish micro-brewery run by young, passionate brewers redefining Japan’s sake culture, complete with a craft sake tasting experience with 3 types of craft sake offered.
OR
b) WASAKA Sake Experience, where you can choose from over 50 types of sake from various prefectures across Japan for tasting. Enjoy the sip as our sommelier guide explains how sake is brewed and share trivia facts about sake in Japanese culture.
End the tour by raising a toast - Kanpai -!
If required, your guide will be able to take you back to Asakusa Station or direct you to your next destination.
