What you can expect

Take part in a celebration of one of Argentina's greatest passions, football—or soccer. Get the opportunity to tour the famous Boca Juniors stadium and its museum. Learn about one of the most important stadiums in Argentina, understanding more about its history in relation to Argentina.

Meet your guide in central Buenos Aires and head to the south part of the city, to La Boca neighborhood, home to the Boca Juniors Stadium. On your way, see the church where Diego Maradona married his former wife in 1989.

Arrive at La Bombonera, home to the famous Boca Juniors football team. Founded in 1905 by five young boys living in the La Boca neighborhood, the soccer club eventually grew into one of the most successful teams in Argentina and around the world. Go places where most people aren't allowed, and even have the once in a lifetime experience of walking on the field.

Afterward, visit the Passion of Boca Juniors Museum, learning about the history and evolution of the jersey and visiting the trophy room. At the end of the tour, return to the meeting point.

At the moment, BOCA's stadium is closed for visits, only the tour of the Museum of the Boquense Passion is being carried out.

This excursion was rediculously expensive for what it was. I think we paid around 60 USD each. Firstly there no access at all to the stadium itself which was the whole reason for going, as a big football fan this was extremely dissapointing. We were only allowed entrance into the Boca Museum (We noticed that entry to the museum cost 1400 Pesos, which is equivalent to around 6 USD at local exchange rate). The musem itself was interesting albeit quite small, so only took around 15 minutes to walk around. We had a guide for this, and I have no complaint about the guide as he was very knowledgeable. I wouldn't recommend this excursion as it is a total rip off. Save yourself a lot of cash and make your own way to the museum and pay on the door. What really angered me the most was the the instructions on the voucher were completely innacurrate. The instructions were that we had to confirm our booking at least 24 hours prior and present our passports as proof of ID.
