What you can expect
Journey out of Cebu City for a day-long adventure in Bohol. Discover the region's famous Chocolate Hills, enjoy lunch on the water with a cruise down the Loboc River, and visit the historic Baclayon Church while keeping an eye out for the tiny tarsier primates that call the island home.
To get to Bohol Island, first get picked up from your Cebu hotel, then hop aboard a ferry that takes you to Tagbilaran, the capital city of Bohol. You're soon driving around the beautiful island, which is popular for its flourishing nature and excellent beaches. Visit the renowned Chocolate Hills, a collection of over 1,260 hills whose lush grass turn a rich, velvety brown during the dry season. Take the opportunity to snap a picture–the hills are spectacular in any season. Also, keep an eye out for adorable, wide-eyed tarsiers, the smallest primates in the world.
Following the Chocolate Hills, head to the Loboc River and step aboard a boat for lunch. As you dine, you're entertained with music by a local folklorist coupled with a song and dance choir. After your delightful meal, proceed to the Baclayon Church, which was built in 1596 in the oldest Christian settlement in Bohol. Learn about the history of the island and the various peoples who have occupied it, and visit the site where the treaty of friendship between the Filipinos and the Spaniards was signed. After a ferry ride back to Cebu, a driver takes you back to your hotel in the evening.
